Lucy's Burgers - Blaine

Great service and a solid entrant in the burgers-and-wings-and-wraps category.Their "Kids Slider Challenge" is brilliant. If your 12-and-under can put away three or more sliders, you need to look into it.Burgers were good, if only slightly on the small side. The fries were amazing.Great place for a post-softball/golf lunch and beer a the fellas, or an after-practice dinner with the kids.Huge room, too. Plenty of TVs with anything you would want to watch.We happened to be there during Wednesday night trivia, which seemed fun (we arrived too late to enter).Also saw they do bar bingo one night have have a tri-wheel, which looked like it only rolls on weekends.

Lucy's burgers (was) an ok choice but when you see the owner sitting at the bar not looking too happy you see the issues at hand. He talks to his people like they are just hired help. No smiles. No happy conversations. Just pity he's loosing money. I'd go there for free popcorn and a few beers. The popcorn machine has been removed because the night cost of materials. Ok. I guess. But then at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon it's a few customers mostly regular customers and the bartender's are to busy talking to them and not being able to get their attention. Here's the worst part. An afternoon beer stop. I had two IPA beers and they were $8.00 a pint. I put down a twenty and got back $2.00 in change. That is over the top trying to get every dollar out of the customer. No more for me. They'll be closed real soon.

Sis and I ate an early dinner here a couple weeks ago. Got in before the rush. We were sat in an empty side game room but that filled up quickly. We were greeted quickly by the waiter (young man) and our order was taken and delivered swiftly. Meals were brought by other staffers though.. which is fine. Love to see teamwork in action. As the place got busier, we saw our waiter running around helping other tables. We had to flag him down to get to-go boxes and the bill. We tend not to linger for hours and prefer to be in and out in under an hour. By the time we left, there was a waiting crowd at the door. Food was good, but please come with patience as they are likely understaffed.

We found this little gem when we were venturing in the strip malls on the outskirts of Blaine. Clearly by the reviews this place must have struggled in the early opening period but I'm happy to report that they have overcome MOST of the issues, at least during our visit. SERVICE. We visited shortly after the place opened on Sunday morning but during the Noon Minnesota Viking game. We were seated very quickly and the place was about 1/4 full. The drink order was taken very quickly and served promptly. The meal order took a bit longer but our served was the only one on duty besides the bartender. She warned us about the extended time for the "stuffed burger" which added about 20-25 minutes to the wait time. The wait was worth it!!FOOD. We ordered the cheese curds for an appetizer. They were served shortly after the order. They were worth the $10. Ellsworth curds with a crispy beer batter. Very good and served with a marinara sauce. I ordered the Mac & Cheese Lucy. The burger was stuffed with small amount of Mac and Cheese. Excellent flavor! The cheese was still in the middle and was plentiful. The Mac & Cheese was a bit dry but not enough to lower the rating. The hand cut fries were plentiful and perfectly seasoned. The place had my favorite Heinz Ketchup but to be honest, this was one of the few meals I could have eaten the whole thing as prepared! I did add ketchup about halfway through the meal. So many fries I didn't finish, which is also unusual for me. Large menu selection which make it an easy choice for a return visit.PLACE. The place was very clean and wide open for seating. Choice of booths, tables or a bar stool. Fireplace and plenty of TVs for the sports nut. FREE popcorn. Bathrooms were right as you walk in. Plenty of parking in the mall lot. Outside dining was available but way too cold for our visit.

Beer selection was great although we had soda. Wife had a chicken wrap and I had a cheeseburger. You can't screw them but they did. They both came with fries but the kitchen help has never been trained in the proper method of making fries. You must drain them before dumping them on the plate. Grease dominated our meals. Never again. Paid over $40 for grease and went home to pbj because we could not eat the grease. Avoid this place!

My son and I came in for lunch while waiting to get our haircut next door. The ambiance was nice, food was good, and service was excellent! We both got the hangover burger and split an appetizer of cheese curds. Portions were quite large, so neither one of us were able to finish the last few tots and bite of burger, but we tried! I'd go here again when we're in the area.

Service was nice. Onion rings were the best I've ever had. The entrees we're disappointing. Chicken was over cooked. Salmon Brussels sprout salad sounded good but came to the table very lack luster. Salmon was near turning, if you're not going to have good fresh salmon take it off the menu. My kids fruit side had pale mushy grapes in it. We showed them and the gave us 2 dollars off our bill. I'm afraid I'm not convinced.

I love this Lucy's location. The food has been great on my previous visits. I visit/order from a Lucy's location about once a month with my partner and it's always great food and service. I highly recommend their Lucy's burger and their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. They're both a great choice!

Terribly expensive, poor service, mediocre food. We ordered cheese curds, little to no cheese, just fried batter. Soggy french fries.
