Lonesome Pine Restaurant and Bar

Best dinner we had on our trip. The restaurant is so cozy and cute. With twinkling lights in the rafters and animals hanging on the walls, it has an 'up-north-cabin' vibe. I chose the broiled walleye because what else would you order in northern MN and it was delicious. For my side I chose brussel sprouts. Everything was so good. Husband had the pizza. Thin crispy crust. Tons of toppings. Yes, I ate 2 pieces because it looked so good. Lots of tables celebrating special occasions. Service was excellent. Really great experience!

Best pizza in the area and everything else is exceptional. Really like the Walleye and Northern appetizers and we like to bring our visitors/company up for the all you can eat Walleye.

Yummy! The food here was a surprise. I was not expecting such a tasty menu. When I heard they had some Caribbean dishes, I was reluctant to try it. I am glad I did. It was delicious. My husband who is normally not a fan of pasta also loved the dish so much that he ate all my food!

Came back to the lonesome pine! Ordered the shrimp tacos this time! Great experience with cabin-y feel! This is a local must visit. The wait times are often very long; I recommend being prepared by coming on off times or just being willing to wait outside when you get there!

The food was amazing! We got the prime rib and walleye bites- both 10/10. Our server was great, and the owner came and checked on us and introduced himself- a very nice guy!

There was not one thing I'd change about our meal here. Our food was all scrumptious and service was quick. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant has a great menu. One of our best meals of the summer...cannot wait to come again.

What a fabulous night with friends and fantastic food! Lonesome Pine is off the beaten path in exactly the right way! It's a rustic but comfortable hideaway in the north woods that offers excellent food and cocktails with an ambiance that yells CABIN! A group of 8 of us scored a table on Friday evening and enjoyed a variety of steaks, chicken, ribs and fish - very generous servings and every single dish was delicious. The Lonesome Pine Prime Rib that wound up in my plate was truly sensational. Seasoned well, prepared like a traditional prime, and then quick-seared. The cheesy-hashbrowns and baked potatoes were so satisfying. Even the dinner salad was good - bountiful plate of delicious! Our Old Fashioned's hit the spot as did the delicious Montepulciano wine. The table shared (devoured) the carrot cake! Our wait-person Cara was spot-on with her service of the somewhat sassy table - would have loved to take her along on the weekend lake trip because she was a fun soul! Add to that the fact that she gave us great food advice and kept up with us! The chef/owner also stopped and chatted twice for a few minutes sharing some of the history of the place and making sure everything was done right (and it was!). Definitely worth the stop!!

Had Lasagna. Soooo good. Great service. Great food. 5 Stars Been eating there for years. Highly Recommend.

This place is fantastic, great atmosphere, attentive staff, food that will bring you back. Our last time there we had oysters on the half shell shucked table side!!

This place was AWESOME!! The staff was SO friendly, and my food came in minutes. Not to mention the food, which was DELICIOUS! The food was well seasoned, and VERY fresh. The decorations were so good, it felt like being in a cozy cabin! The dessert was AWESOME, I definitely recommend the chocolate cake. I'm being 100 percent honest, this was my favorite restaurant I've ever been to. I love this place so much, and I DEFINITELY recommend it!
