Lions Park is funny. It's on a stretch of nowhere next to nothing. It's been a packed parking lot most of the times I have driven by. It's a simple menu and sardine seating. Prep your mind if you're claustrophobic and it's busy. It was moderately busy on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised not to see more of a football and church crowd in there. It's clean enough and prompt. Service is simple. Kids grilled cheese is what looks like to be a slice of Velveeta on a hamburger bun fine, but the price is what killed the vibe of that. Hamburger is solid. I don't know if I can chalk it up to the best, but would definitely visit again given the craving.

I met five friends here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. They won't seat until the entire party is present, which is fine because they were extremely busy. I was actually shocked at how hopping it was. Our server was great. The burger I had was outstanding and my five buddies, who also had burgers, all raved about their food.

Prolly the best burger I've had since my visit here. I know the juicy Lucy's are the things to go for in Minnesota, but I loved the flavor profile moreso. I'll prolly have to come back again and test them both but so far this is my front runner for best burger in the area. Friendly servers and we got our food rather fast. Yum!

Simple menu that includes craft beer, cheap burgers, and fries that'll disappear before you know it!! The restaurant was packed but the service was speedy, so it made turn around time a breeze! We went here for a quick date night, but it would be a great place to bring the fam for an inexpensive meal!

Great place to eat with the family or friends for a delicious burger. The menu is small and simple but I think that's what makes it so great. Couple of burger options and fries and you're good to go! It is a somewhat tight space and can fill up quick during the lunch hour. Nothing fancy but the food and service is great. I noticed a very nice waitress waiting on an older gentleman and she was so personable and asked for his name. She continued to check up on him and address him by name. Tip: They have no straws so if you have little kiddos make sure to bring your own cup with straw if needed.

Ok, you have to go in with the right expectations. This isn't white table cloth dining and there isn't a wine list. It's an old fashioned, family owned, burger and fry joint. Want a fancy burger with alfalfa sprouts? Wrong place. Want one of the best double-pattied bacon cheeseburgers with a side of hot fries? BAM! This is the place. The burgers are perfectly done. The service is fast and friendly and the frills, well, there aren't any. They don't stay open late and don't take reservations. So check the time and show up with your complete party (they won't seat you until the entire party arrives). Once you're seated, look around. There is some history here. This isn't a new concept, it's a tried-and-true formula for delicious food served quickly. It's family friendly, so bring the kids.

Very busy around lunch time. Clean inside and out. Delicious medium cooked burgers! Severs/waitstaff are friendly enough. Basic menu options, but dang good burgers!

Do you think this is a good business model for restaurant success? Let's locate in the middle of nowhere (technically Eden Praire, but more like Chanhassen. We'll put it next to anything else, so there is no spillover business. In 1950, the expanded bar started selling hamburgers; it only took 24 years to add French fries. According to the website, the restaurant was renovated 39 years ago. And I think that was the last physical update. So to tecap: bad location, no other businesses, old bar and decor, selling ONE item, hamburgers, and two sides (they added onion rings sometime after 1974).How are they doing? They are busy all the time. They have three dining areas (plus bar stools), and they are near capacity constantly. Why? The hamburgers are fantastic. Fresh, juicy, tasty, and cravable. When I first started going here, all hamburgers were cooked to medium. In a shocking change (for them), they allowed customers to select the level of doneness, so now I can get a wonderful rare hamburger. You do have choices. You can get cheese, a double patty, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and / or mushrooms for an extra charge. Raw or cooked onions are free!Service, despite being busy, is consistently friendly and sincere. Prices are very reasonable ($4.95 for a basic burger).I think Lions TAP proves that IF you have a superb product, good service, and reasonable prices, you can thrive despite violating what MBA's would advise against. But you need to make absolutely sure that your product is superior, every single time. That's what Lion's Tap does. If you love hamburgers, make the pilgrimage.
