We've had Lepage for over a year for residential service and never had a single issue. They come pretty early on pickup day and that's appreciated especially on windy days when lids don't seem to stay closed. Only reason for the one star deduction is the couple times I've called the office about a question and changing my payment method it seems to always take 2-3 phone calls to get someone to pick up, office always seems understaffed.

Up until yesterday I have always had good service with this company. I usually only take my can out once every 3 weeks or so. Usually my drivers come later in the morning or early afternoon but because compost season is over they came at 7:30 or so yesterday. My sister passed away a few weeks back and court for her probate was yesterday so I spaced getting the can out. I sent an email asking if it was possible to still have them pick it up. The reply I got was for $25 they could. I told them to forget it and now they can pick up every week instead. I don't mind that they have a business to run but they could have been a little more sensitive to my situation and just said they were no longer in the area. Jerk move on their part that will now cost them more labor and dump charges.

Absolutely the worst garbage service I've ever had. Billing problems, excuses, poor service. They even burned a truck down on our street one year. Just do yourself a favor and go to any other service. If you cancel they make up a fictitious bill and then put you to a collection service for like 60$. Absolutely terrible People. They used to miss the garbage on our block at least once a month. Sometimes two. We were overflowing with garbage at times. We switched to Walter's and have never had an issue since.

This company was good for a few years, now they are consistently terrible. My recycling is missed consistently and the compost driver keeps breaking the wheels off my can when he keeps slamming the can back onto my driveway after emptying. I call Lepage to let them know but nothing has change.... looking elsewhere for better service.

I moved my trash can to blow snow and it was a little further in then it should have been, my driver moved in closer, snagged it without concern, I appreciate the extra effort especially on a snowy day!

I have been a customer since 2016. Not only have they walked up my drive way to grab my cans when I forget to, but they also answer phone calls and emails very quickly. I needed to add an additional garbage can and the staff answered all my questions and helped to get it set up. They have been great to work with and I love that they have compost as well! The drivers are respectful and help when the wheel falls off to get that replaced quickly. Thank you LePage for being an asset to our community!

Garbage! That sums up the service. Pick up times are inconsistent, high rates, added fuel surcharges and when you cancel service they leave the new owners with their trash bin....even though they didn't want service.

Beware: This company was very good for several years. Then garbage pickup would be missed here and there. I would call and let them know I was missed. They would first say if the can isn't at the curb by 6am there is nothing they can do. I assured them it was down the night before. They still were not going to send a truck to pick it up. I said that is not an option, and they sent a truck two days later to pick it up. This same thing would continue over the next few months. A week here and there no pickup. They said we have new drivers and please be patient. This paired with the cost doubling over two years. I canceled my service. They then sent a bill for an additional $50 to pickup their cans from my house. There are much better choices out there, so shop around. I switched and not only am I back to half the cost of Lepage, I have not had to deal with garbage or recycling not being picked up.

ETA-I just read through some of the reviews here and I'm honestly shocked to see so many negative reviews. Since switching to them last summer I have called several times to ask questions or request and they've been great. They have also been super consistent about picking up at the same time every week. I just think it's weird that so many people are saying the opposite of the experience I've had so far.I have had 4 garbage companies since moving to my current home. We started with ECS with no issues or complaints. Unfortunately they were bought out by WM and our price quickly doubled. So we switched to another company and had a terrible experience with them. So we switched again to LePage and Sons sometime last summer. I just felt I had to leave a positive review for them today because not only have they been super easy to deal with anytime I've had questions or requests (such as leaving extra cans out for them to pickup) but they have really gone above and beyond what I would expect them to do and I think it's important to recognize companies that still do that. Today it was -10 degrees or colder. I was running late to get my son to an appointment and asked my boyfriend to get the garbage from our shop and bring the can down. While he was getting the garbages together the truck showed up and he thought he had missed them. But when he went out they were actually walking up and grabbing the cans and bringing them down for us. They could have easy passed by and kept moving. It's not their responsibility to get the cans down to the end of the driveway so I would never expect it but it was truly appreciated by us. It's quite the difference from our last company who stopped even coming to pick up our trash because I hadn't gotten it down a few times. They didn't just keep driving (which would be completely understandable) they just didn't come one week. They never contacted me about it. And when I contacted them wondering why they never came they said I would have to call to let them know the can was out by 6am on our pickup day or they wouldn't come. They also refused to come out at all that week and refused to refund the money I had paid for pickup in advance. The difference between the two companies and how they treat their customers really makes a huge difference. I wanted to say thanks to the employees at LePage and let them know it is noticed and appreciated . Thank you!

I have had Lepage garbage service for around a year and a half. Today I called to see why they once again did not pick up the trash on trash day and was told that they have passed my service on to Walter's without asking or even telling me there intensions. I also have been verbally abused by the customer representative who has no business being a customer service rep as she has a terrible attitude. Stay away from LePage and Son's unless you like poor service that is canceled because they feel like it.Note that unlike all the other providers they sometimes pickup at 6:30 am and sometimes 5:30pm. Not sure why they are not consistent like the others. Stay away from Lepage and sons as they are unprofessional and abusive.
