Legacy Golf

The Minnesota PGA golf card brought us to try a new course, The Legacy Golf Club in Faribault. After our recent rain, the course was flush and beautifully green. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape and greens were smooth and true. The back nine is more wooded and front nine more of a links style. We played 18 holes in just over 3 hours. I played from the yellow which was about 5000 yds. Staff was welcoming. Great experience. Our card gives us 3 more discounted rounds and we are planning on visiting again.

nice layout but horrible management. if you're not from Fairbault or play regularly there they treat you like dirt. paired up with a 3 some, they we're waiting for carts to come in. guy says hang back by the putting green until more carts come in. waited right there like he said, didn't tell me to watch for. went back in and he said group must have gone out, wanted to pair me with a 4 some which I'm sure they wouldn't have been happy about. asked for my money back and got it no apology for not having a starter or at least have the guy setting carts to watch for another. that's pro shop 101. as I left told me thanks, humbly being a wise ass. I get it was busy but wasn't asking for much. combination of poor pro shop & idiot, inconsiderate Fairbault golfers taking off when they know they have another in their group. but it's on the golf shop to manage that.

I like this golf course and I live very near. I asked the guy at the register if they were planning on using militaryteetimes.com again and that I didn't exactly remember the last time I used it. He said they don't use that unless it was years ago. He made it clear that they would not offer discounts to military and the rate with cart is $52.00. So today I just booked on militaryteetimes for The Summit Golf course because I could get on for $20.00. I went to view my reservation and also saw my last reservation for Legacy which was in August just over 9 months ago and my rate was $25.00. I guess the point is that I didn't enjoy feeling like a jerk because I asked about military rates. Just because I look for discounts doesn't make me a bad person and I've never felt that anyone should be obligated to offer me discounts. If I can get an extra round or two in because I'm watching my spending then great!

Just played this beautifully mature 18 hole golf course. New, attractive clubhouse. Ate at the grill 3 times over several days...all very good meals, particularly the walleyed-pike.The course is scenically beautiful, the greens are challenging. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
