Since retirement, my wife and I would bring our young grandchildren here for a stroll every morning. Very peaceful here and I truly enjoy the scenery. The kids love the playground here.

I almost don't want to wrote a review and expose our "secret" place. But this park literally has everything to enjoy summer. A well kept beach, a playground, canoes/kayaks, party shelter, walking trail, ball fields, pucnic tables. I love bringing my family here whenever we get a chance! They also have a great fireworks show on the 4th if July!

This park has very nice beach with clean water and kids playground right by it Also has another bigger playground in the different part of the park by baseball fields. The second playground is really big and fun for our little ones. It's definitely one of our favorite places and always clean which is a bonus

We came for the playground, which was amazing and we had the place to ourselves. Didn't even see the lake or beach but the park itself was excellent.

When my sister asked me if I was going to get a pool pass this summer, I said, No way! Lake Ann is free! It's an incredibly nice park - lovely sandy beach, no seaweed, walking trails all around, and a playground right by the water. There are also grills galore, lovely hills for picnicking, a covered picnic shelter with plenty of tables for those who don't want to sit in the grass, a concession stand, several nearby baseball diamonds, tennis courts, a soccer field, sand volleyball, canoe/paddleboat rentals, a boat launch, this lake seriously has everything. Even parking. Everything's always very clean, and the park as a whole is large enough that even on busy summer days it doesn't feel particularly crowded.

This is a very nice park and lake. I've been here all times of the year and it is very beautiful all year round but the fall colors really make it stand out. There's plenty of parking, lots of open grass for kids to run around in, there's a few playgrounds for kids, and a small beach. I haven't done a lot of fishing on the lake but there is lots of docks that can be fished off of. Probably the best thing about this parks how quiet it is. It's not out in the country and yet it's really quite and peaceful. This is a perfect park for a picnic. I will definitely keep coming back.

Lake Ann appears to be a hidden secret from the world. It's a great beach (as far as Minnesota Beaches go) and it's likely the top beach in the Twin Cities. The lake water is clearer than most, the weeds are kept out of the swimming area and there is a wonderful park for the smaller kids to play at.It's rarely busy, even on the best of days. You can bring your own fuel and grill out on one of the grill pits or bring your own grill if you desire. There is a beach volleyball court near the water.Nothing is better than a family event where the kids are playing 50 feet behind you in the sand/water while the adults play a little volleyball. My only complaint (and it's a small one)...The parking is a bit small and far away. You end up hauling a lot of stuff a long distance so either have a wheel barrow (no kidding) or travel light.

The lake was great and actually really warm. The lifeguards on the other hand were clustered in the corner talking to each other. Not at their posts or seems as they weren't really paying attention. Maybe just better the lifeguard should be more attentive as there were many kids around. I haven't been swimming somewhere where all the lifeguards weren't at their posts.
