La Rue Marche

I'm going to let you in on a little secret that I keep close to my heart. I (mostly) hate shopping. La Rue Marche is one of the few exceptions to the rule where I could wander around a store for hours. And in this case, I have over the years.Their clothes are adorable and inspire me to step outside of my fashion comfort zone, comfortably. They have many vintage pieces also have a collection of items that all flow very well together. In my mind I would like to copy and paste everything on hangers into my own closet. I'd be a very happy girl.But it doesn't stop there! They have really unique jewelry, accessories, home goods and novelty items too. I've bought a pendant, hair bows and a candle here to show the range of what's offered. They've recently remodeled which led me to believe that this was a new store with new ownership, but I was pleased to see that it was the same, just re-vamped and freshened up.If you ever find yourself in Hudson and want to get lost in a dreamy world of gorgeous clothes, accessories, shoes and things for your home, come here and wander until your heart's content.

This is such a cute boutique store just brimming with very unique clothing and accessory finds. The price point is a bit on the higher side and the clothing is similar to free people and anthropologie in the styling. They do have some vintage around the store and a ton of very fun and one of a kind jewelry items. You literally could spend a great deal of time in here as so much to take in. I believe they often host special events to coordinate with the community and season.

This store is just so darn cute. They have great vintage decor and sassy style in the displays. The shoes are always fabulous and the clothing is cute, if not a bit pricey for what it's probably worth. Tucked away inside though, is the hidden gem of "Sheer Addiction", aka "Tamara Lines" which is a jewelry line that is made right in Hudson and combines old antique pieces with modern flair. This is my go-to jewelry for gifts and splurging on myself.

Val and her team are a dream to shop with. La Rue is full of cute gift ideas and adorable clothes, especially if your taste runs to a fun boho or vintage style. La Rue is a great supporter of their community and local artists as well. Well worth the drive to Hudson!

I wasn't impressed by the 50 year old woman that told me she "wears ripped, frayed jeans all of the time". She came across as rude and bucky towards me. She also didn't honor me the opportunity to explore the jeans that are in this store. What she doesn't know is I really wanted to spend my money on a pair of jeans; a pair of jeans that she totally denied me a chance to look through. I'm glad I found a pair of very pricey pants at the Purple Tree.

La RUDE! We had one of the worst experiences at this store...in short we got LaRue'd! My wife purchased about $300 for an "outfit" for an upcoming wedding. Upon getting home, she found it to be ill fitting. As they are a 90 mile drive, she called within 7 days and asked if she could get a refund credited to her account. However, upon returning clothes, the LaRude owner cited her "policy" of return for store credit after 7 days...even though it was day only day 8!This is definitely a BUYER BEWARE as this merchant doesn't care about customer service....wouldn't have made a difference if only $50 or so...but $300!! Really now. This is theft!

Hudson, WI is a delightful town & we live there in the summers. This year I strolled around the city shops more than usual & discovered La Rue Marché. This "dress store" offers a culture of a special kind to ladies of all ages! Awesome selection of clothing & jewels. The attendant (with her long dark hair up off her neck) appeared with poise & charm. I felt like she was giving me personal attention all while others were in the store! I did make a purchase, not for myself, but this attendant helped me decide on a gift for my niece. Love this unique shop!

I have shopped at La Rue for about 4 years. I drive over an hour to go there. The owner is about the sweetest, most friendly person you could meet. She has unique, beautiful clothing, and one of a kind items that make this shop a true gem and worth the drive. Every. Single. Time. The customer service is reminiscent of days gone by; they go above and beyond. As far as the ridiculous one star review, this guy could not be further from the truth. He is an example of a crackpot who is guilty of attempted character assassination via a libelous Yelp review. I have purchased clothing for myself, my daughter, and other family, and always get many compliments. La Rue Marche is a gorgeous shop, with stunning offerings, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
