This is our new favorite ice cream place. We love trying unfamiliar things here. The friendly staff patiently explain the desserts and flavors, and they are happy to offer a sample when we're not sure. Today I had a gancito (chocolate syrup and white cake) ice cream pop (paleta), which was just big enough to satisfy. But my spouse got a churro platter, two warm churros with three generous scoops of ice cream and maraschino cherries. We had fun trying ice cream flavors capuccino, coconut (with real coconut bits in it), and pine nut (bright pink with real pine nuts). They helpfully gave us two spoons, and I ended up helping my spouse finish it. The space is always clean. It can be noisy with the TVs and occasionally other parties, but so far that hasn't been a problem for us. The restrooms are clean, down two long hallways and shared with other businesses in the building. We were disappointed that a single small bike rack off to the side served the entire building, but fortunately no one else brought their bikes when we visited. The staff are often busy chopping fruit. Next time I'll come with more of an appetite and try a paleta dipped and served with fruit. There are so many things to try. We'll be coming back again soon!

I love ice cream and this place does not disappoint! Yummy treats, delicious snacks, and cute decor! This was my first time and the lady that helped me suggested adding chocolate on top of my scoop - brilliant! I will definitely be returning.

So sweet in every way! I was shocked at how La Michoacana has totally revamped the old Jimmy John's spot. The former red booths have been transformed into hot pink and the entire interior made me feel like I was at Disney World. Extremely clean, neon colors, ice cream lights, ice cream wallpaper dripping off the walls, a claw machine, 2 million popsicle flavors, ice cream, mangonadas, shakes, churros, aqua frescas, and everything imaginable including a Doritos combo named "Dori Locos" as a savory snack. The hours are also beautiful as they stay open until 9 pm. The parking is extremely easy having a connected free lot and the service was extraordinary as every staff member was available to help with any questions. I cannot wait to bring my family here. Wow, wow, wow! I wish you much success. This is a beautiful addition to Saint Paul.

Been wanting to stop by this place and finally I did it. Order Fresas con crema with a scoop of ice cream on top. A very delicious option for a dessert in the summer for sure. They have variety choice of pastries, drinks, ice creams, snacks as well. Will definitely come again to try other items on their menu.

Finally! A Michoacana in my own neighborhood! For those of you who don't know, Michoacana are basically Mexican-based ice cream shops with an assortment of flavors and fun desserts! Located on Snelling Ave by the Speedway, this place has a lot of parking and a colorful pink interior! Don't be too shocked when you see the menu! There's a lot to choose from so you're bound to find something you like/love. I got the churro bites with the ferrero ice cream. The crispy churros mixed with the ice cream and strawberries makes for an excellent afternoon snack! Highly recommend for everyone!

Great location! Great decoration! Great service! The place is well decorated and the staff are kind. Perfect place for a sweet treat in the hot summer weather. I tried the Mangonada, it was super good! Great balance between the tanginess of the chamoy and the sweetness of the mango. I also got a churro. It was fresh and delicious. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The esquite had a bit too much cream but still very cheesy and yummy.

First time trying this place and we loved it. They have a good variety to choose from. The ice cream was delicious. The churro sandwich was freshly made, crispy, and lot of sugar & cinnamon. Customer service was great. The only thing I wish they had was a printed menu with descriptions. They have a lot of unique food I've never heard of before and I'd like to see what's in it before I buy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Ice cream was very nasty very sour and sloppy, not to mention the mangoniada was not even a mangoniada it didn't even come with Chamoy on the cup barley any on the top, the walking tacos looked disgusting just a big chunk of meat, and my ice cream popsicle looked like it had been in the freezer for weeks employee used the same utensils for each ice cream as well and Cheetos had barely any cheese not mention they didn't give me one of my orders spent 92 dollars for absolutely trash. Never going back there and do not recommend going please check reviews before.

i tried tres leches cake, cheetos with cheese and mangonada. the flavor taste so artificial and is unauthentic. it markets itself as a Mexican ice cream place but the taste demonstrates the lack of in-house prepping. it disappointed me so much as a Mexican. the paleta is fine.also the ambiance is trying too much and commodifies Mexican indigenous culture.
