This place is a hidden gem in Red Wing. Evidently everyone is too busy at bar and grill beer and burger places to know there is a legit Mexican eatery in the heart of the city.Tacos are a must - carne asada street tacos are a must Carnitas burrito also a must with their green sauce added inside. True Mexican beans and rice and assorted bottle drinks round out the experience. Not fancy but really good And you can pick up items to cook at home to add to the experience - leave the American queso at home :) this is place is for real

I know sometimes restaurants that are in grocery stores sometimes are scary for some reason but no need to be scared here! Twice the pleasure twice the fun! This market and eatery totally hit the spot for an evening of music venue hopping while here for Big Turn Music Festival! All three of us ordered the Veggie Burritos (mine made vegan without the cheese and sour cream.) The Burritos were large and in charge and really hit the spot, great flavor and packed to the gills with beans, rice, guac, and sauteed veggies! They did not skimp on this Burrito! The staff was super nice and I got to shop around the little market for a minute while we waited for our food! It's a cute little shop that I would totally be a regular at if I lived here! Clean bathrooms, nice staff, cool store, and great food..

All these 4 & 5 Star Rave Reviews must be from people who've never had Mexican Food outside Minnesota (yeah, I mean the Twin Cities too). Came in & got a Pastor burrito. It was fine. Not a lot of flavor, had to use more "hot" sauce than usual. I used quotations cause I've never before had to sip on the salsa provided just to see if I was trippin' or it actually was as bland as I thought it was. It was bland, like Taco Bell mild sauce bland. Daaaaang homie. It was 12 bucks, so I didn't feel as ripped off as I have at some of these Mexican spots in the Cities that charge a LOT for a few tiny-ass "street tacos", but I did feel a hint of sadness over the lack of flavor. Así es.

Very good tasting tacos. Love the Pastor tacos especially. The restaurant is roomy and conveniently located. Will be back to order something different next time. Also the web is very easy to order off of also. The meat counter looked very good to. Definitely coming back.

Loved the steak Burro Alambre, then had some of the street tacos which were good but not terribly exciting, and a nice staff that will explain things. Fun little market with some small items that would make good inexpensive gifts, also more junk food and beverages for the road.FYI- They do take credit now on purchases over $5

Decent food, ambiance lacking, good for a quick bite not to sit and enjoy. We went after lunch, and they were out of some of the items as well.

We were so hoping for a new restaurant in Red Wing and were very disappointed with our experience. The one very good thing I can say was the quality of the Asada "street" tacos. Fresh and very tasty. I had the taco plate that came with refried beans & rice. The rice was tasteless and I could only eat a bit of the beans. The beans had the consistency of tomato soup really bad. My partner had Empanadas and said they were just OK. Though they have tables this really feels like a take out place - they bring the food over but you are not not treated as if in a restaurant. The place is clean and bright so it has the potential to be a nice place to sit and dine, maybe that will come with time. The big shock was the price of chips. They were good but for a small bag the price was somewhere between $5.00 - 6.00, yikes. There are no chips with a meal. I am a believer if you have a restaurant in MN there should always be table water. Even in fast-food place you can get a free glass of water. I don't drink anything but water with a meal so I ended up paying way too much for a bottle - this is were you get the feeling this is more of a market or take-out then anything else. Sure hope they improve.

We had Burro Alambre with Steak and Green Enchiladas. Both were excellent! The burro's tortilla was toasted, which really enhanced the flavors! The spicy red sauce is amazing, smoky! The chicken enchiladas had a tomatillo sauce....delicious! Only negatives I have are the baby cheap forks to try to eat it with and prices were a bit high, but we like to support small business! Maybe a $14 burrito could include some chips on the side!? Overall....I'd be back and would highly recommend!
