I needed chicken feet to make chicken soup so I stopped in & hit pay dirt. Nicely stocked Mexican grocery + a small restaurant. Yes! They had my chicken feet at a competitive price. The produce section has plenty of peppers, cactus & other items for Mexican cooking. People working here are nice too.

I visited St. Paul for work and had to check out some food in the city's West Side, which I learned is the heart of its Mexican-American community. This place is definitely worth a visit. It is inside of a Mexican grocery store. I had to gorditas and a soda for 12 bucks. Very good price, especially considering that the gorditas were HUGE. Usually gorditas are about the size of a donut, but these were literally the size of my plate. The lady who took my order (who will also cook your food) asked me if I wanted them both on the same plate. I said yes, and I didn't understand why she asked me this until I got my order and the gorditas were falling off the plate. I highly recommend the gorditas al pastor. I will ding it La Gaudalupana and give it 4 stars because the place was a bit unkempt. Plates from previous customers were still on the tables for a while, there was a plate on a trash-can, and I had to wipe down my own table. There was only one woman who was taking orders AND doing the cooking, so I don't want to fault her because she was working her butt off and simply couldn't get to everything all at once. However, I would have preferred for the establishment to be a bit cleaner. Regardless, this is an affordable, authentic Mexican spot that I highly recommend.

I seriously only go to this place for Doña Viky, she works in the kitchen. Before they remodeled the kitchen i would go so often she would just say. Lo mismo?.. si Doña :) now they have $1 Friday tacos.

This place is great! It's a no-frills, authentic Mexican lunch counter type restaurant. It probably helps if you can speak a little Spanish, because there was not a menu posted- you just have to talk with the ladies and see what they have that day. Then you take your order slip over to the grocery store cashier, pay, and bring the receipt back to the lunch counter. The workers will shout questions at you in Spanish about your order and then yell again when it's ready for you to come get it. The seating is cafeteria-style with long rows of tables and you'll be eating next to a bunch of people on their lunch breaks. The food is yummy and made with love. This place is a total gem

Their meals are terrible and too pricey for bad quality food. The only thing that I like are beans and rice that it. Definitely not coming back.
