Finally got a chance to head over here for dinner (figured was going to get a gift card for someone, so wanted to be able to tell them about the food). Kyndred Hearth did not disappoint. Everyone had told me how fancy/expensive it was, which, I will say, yes, it is more upscale, but I didn't find it to be pretentious or terribly unreasonable prices.I can't say no to arancini, so when I saw those on the menu, I was thrilled. They were delicious. I was really in a burger mood the day we went, and the Skol burger was great, albeit, too much for me (maybe a single patty instead of double would have been better). Drinks were also good and also couldn't pass up the ice cream with olive oil. Hubs had the Baked Alaska, which was also great. Will definitely come back again!

We came here for a late Christmas Eve dinner and had a great experience. While we were waiting, we sat at the Christmas Bar right outside the restaurant, which I definitely recommend if you're here during the holidays. You're even able to bring the drinks into the restaurant! For Dinner, I split the Short Ribs, Scallops & Prosciutto Pizza with two others in my family, and this was enough food for the 3 of us.The Prosciutto Pizza came first and was delicious, however it wasn't really anything special. If you want fantastic and unique woodfired pizzas, I would go to Young Joni. There was enough pizza for each of us to have 2 slices. The scallops were large and flavorful, however for $34 for only 3 scallops felt crazy, since I don't think it filled us up in the slightest. The star of the show were the briased short ribs - a must get if you come here. They were rich and the bok choy was incredible with it. I still think about these.Overall, I think this place and it's upscale yet warm vibe is a great celebration restaurant in the southern suburbs, but nothing for the day-to-day.

Recommended. Being in MSP for work, we were recommended Kyndered Hearth for a good meal and was not disappointed. It took a bit to get us seated despite arriving at our reservation time. We waited 15-20 to be seated. Party of 5, we elected to share 3 pizzas and apps amongst us. We ordered the Margarita, meat & mushroom pizzas. They were oven baked with a crispy crust.

Woohoo! I finally got the chance to eat at Kyndred Hearth! I came in a Friday night at 5:15PM and was able to easily find a parking spot. Since it is connected to the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, there are large surface lots available for parking. There is also a valet option. The ambience is bright yet moody and there's a wide range of people there. Kids in pajamas to people dressed in dressy casual attire. There is a large bar, a high top area right by the pizza oven, and other tables and partial booths scattered around the restaurant. Our server was attentive and when I asked about gluten free options, they were quick to explain that many dishes are gluten free or can be made gluten free. They even have gluten free pizza crust. I am usually not used to many options so I had a pretty hard time deciding what to get. I was pleased to see that the drink menu had mocktail options. I ordered the passion berry punch very much. Our table got the antipasti and meatballs for an appetizer. They were thoroughly enjoyed. I finally decided on the hanger steak which was cooked to perfection..although small. I enjoyed splitting the wood oven-roasted beets with my sister. And of course, we had dessert. I've never had a chocolate budino (which is GF) and it was quite delicious. Yum. Cannot wait to be back. *One thing that was a bit annoying....the menus are physically large and it was very difficult to find a place for them since they took up a significant portion of the table. We ordered appetizers before our main meals so our server did not take them when she took our appetizer order although we would have been ready to order everything.

Beautiful space connecting the Vikings Omni hotel. Can be intimate or casual depending on your intentions. There is an expansive wine list that includes some reallly good details on helping you choose your perfect pair. The menu seemed a bit limited but a decent amount of variety. Nothing stood out to me as something I'd like to come back for however. Service was a bit slower than expected but our host was friendly. The short rib was average and the chicken sandwich was also okay.

We came here last night on the recommendation of our son and DIL who were here recently and loved it. The restaurant is beautiful and very well laid out. We had cocktails upstairs at Ember & Ice before our dinner reservation. Highly recommend a signature cocktail at this lovely bar. We sat at the bar (after being graciously moved from the slightly wobbly, slightly uncomfortable high top table) and the service was amazing. I had the tavern pizza which was delightful. Hubby had the hot chicken sandwich and that was equally delightful. And as you can see, there were fries for days. Had the vanilla soft serve with caramel and sea salt for dessert. Definitely a little skimpy on the caramel, but still tasty.Beware this restaurant is quite loud. It seems like all restaurants now with high ceilings are very loud so not too surprising.

Drinks were good, but pretty difficult to find a table. Would recommend getting a reservation in advance unless you have time to wait a while. Drinks also took quite a while to arrive, and were pretty light.

Pizza is off the chart here. The toppings are delicious, but I could have just eaten the crust plainly on its own. I had their pepperoni one, the mushroom, basil and the Hawaiian.I have been here twice in the last few months. Yes, I love this place so much I could not wait to return each time. The only downside of it is the location being far from my home..or is that a good thing so I don't spend my whole paycheck here? Haha. I know Ann Kim has several restaurants, but this restaurant just has an easy reservation on Open Table, a large parking lot and very spacious dining area. There is even a spillover bar upstairs but I am not sure if it was part of the Omni hotel or associated with the restaurant. Drinks are superb here and I love love love their pictographic cocktails menu. For entree, the beef short ribs were so good and tender. The meat falls off the bone. It's a must order dish. I also had their lobster pasta and I devoured that dish. I love the fair serving of meat in it. I appreciate that the dish was not drowned in sauce. It was very good, but I still prefer my pasta with a balanced sauce to pasta ratio. Lastly, make sure you get their soft serve ice cream...it is divine. Service was attentive and friendly. Guess what!? I will return in a heartbeat!

It's been awhile since we've been here and it was a good reminder we should go back more often. This last visit was to celebrate our anniversary. It's menu variety makes it a great place for a special occasion or just a casual gathering. We started with the meatballs. It was a substantial starter and very good. I chose the salmon special for my entree and husband had Binchotan chicken. The sauce and veggie combo with the salmon was an excellent complement of texture and taste. Both meals were very good. We finished with sea salt caramel ice cream. Didn't need it but it was so good. Service was excellent. Parking easy. Great anniversary stop.

Kyndred Hearth is located at the Omni Viking Lakes hotel. The restaurant would be great for a larger group dinner. They have a large dining room and also a nice patio that faces Viking Lakes. We had our one year old with us and all of the staff was so friendly and attentive towards him. There were too many good options to choose from and everything we had was delicious! Even the kids mac and cheese was tasty. Our favorites were the gochuchang lasagna and Korean braised short ribs. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
