Strolled into this farmers market on a whim and had the most pleasant time. Maybe it was the fall leaves in combination with the fresh produce and friendly faces, but despite being a small market it was very lovely. Definitely not an all day event but worth a browse, the non-produce food is also all tasty! Got this bagel which was pricey for what it was, but definitely worth to support a local business and I still miss the lingering taste days later. Also appreciated that this farmers market was not populated by any mass produced food or artistic products.

I love this farmers market! I'm probably biased because I live nearby and I also love my neighborhood but it truly does feel like a neighborhood farmers market. It's not huge, but there are plenty of options for ready made food and for produce, protein, and even cheese! Seriously, I love the cheese lady that is always here! Fresh flowers, baked goods, and artisan crafts are bonuses. The vendors are so friendly and the market just started using this new token system where if you don't have cash you can use a card to purchase tokens for the cash only vendors. Super slick!

I have been going this farmers market for be past 4 years. It still remains my favorite. Yes, it's smaller then the large Minneapolis market, but it has neighborhood charm. Options range from vegetables, cheeses, clothing, baked goods, coffee, paella, and food trucks. Food dependent on season. Friendly vendors, not pushy, and willing to answer questions. Music is different weekly, live bands, soloist, or kid friendly entertainment. Defiantly worth checking out!!!

This is my go-to market, and I live downtown. Parking on the side streets are a breeze and I have always had friendly interactions with the vendors. More than once I have been there late in the day(not by choice) and a vendor will load up my bags with items at a super low cost, basically buy one get 3 free type of thing. I can't say that will always happen, but that's the kind of people that have stands- nice!

When I grow up, I could see myself living in Kingfield. It has a real neighborly feel, like everyone bonds over their shared pride of being a part of such a cool pocket of the city.I stopped at the Kingfield Farmer's Market today to visit Lisa and Carrie at the Chef Shack and buy some herbs to make dugh (an Iranian digestif with mint, dill, plain yogurt and soda water blended up together... it's so good that I drink it by the blenderful). The mint was $1/bunch, dill was $0.50/bunch. I also saw big bags of spinach, lettuce and snap peas for $2 each. This market isn't flashy or overwhelming... it's modest and lovable. I would love to see more produce vendors (maybe they'll trickle in as the summer harvest season starts picking up), but they had plenty of plants, a meat vendor (SunShine Harvest Farm), a bread vendor (Sun Street Breads), jams, chocolate sauces, pickles, canned veggies, eco-centric clothing, crafts and more. Even though they were out of samples and almost out of cheese, was happy to see the folks from Love Tree Farm (a sheep farm that is literally next to my family's cabin in Wisconsin). At the center of the market, they had a children's tutu vendor... which seemed to be taking up a prime location, but they were super cute. Next to the rainbow of tutus, the musicians were packing up their gear when I showed up at 12:30 p.m., but live music is always a winner for me. There was also the remains of a bake-off, where you could pay $5 to taste test a plate of rhubarb desserts and vote for the winner. As for dining, I ordered some beef tongue tacos from the Chef Shack, which I'll write about on their page. Spoiler alert: they were awesome. Foxy Falafel also had a booth set up, but I was too full to try it. In hindsight, I should have come with a friend who likes falafel. I saw someone with a samosa too, so that must have been from Akshay-Patram, but I missed that too.For localistas, families, foodies, crafters... anyone: If you prefer that your local shopping be in more relaxed spirits, I can highly recommend Kingfield.

I am completely biased about the Kingfield Farmers Market. It is the best. I recruit my friends to come in from the suburbs to visit so they can enjoy the city in the summer. The vibe is hip, local, green, and gourmet. People really are welcoming and in a good mood. There is live music, crafts, produce, and foodstuffs for all. I am unabashed about my love for the Chef Shack, Foxy Falafel, Sun Street Breads, and Akshay-Patram. There is something homemade, healthy and delicious for everyone, from foodies to picky kids. It's so much more fun than brunch. Eat lunch. Pick up some veggies. Smile. Enjoy Sunday morning. Nothing better.

Adorable little farmers market! My only regret is that I didn't discover it earlier :-)This is a perfect place to bike to on a Sunday morning to have coffee and pick up veggies and flowers for the week ahead. Family friendly but not pet friendly. I did bring our dog a couple of times b/c I had no idea they are not allowed. A few weeks later, we were told the dog had to wait on the sidewalk outside of the market.

Kingfield Farmers Market -- how fun is this place!?Live music -- check.Foxy Falafel, Chef Shack and other "eat it now" vendors -- check.Great produce (like the green onions and radishes I got last weekend -- there were plenty of other yummy looking things too) -- check.Friendly vendors and shoppers -- check.Enough craft vendors to keep it interesting, but not overrun the place -- check again.Sun Street Breads for sale -- MAJOR CHECK.Seriously, this farmers market is fantastic. Sure it's a little on the small side, but it's perfect for a lazy Sunday morning or a quick grab-and-go stop if you're in a hurry. My favorite part is that there is a little bit of everything, so I can't wait to return and see what awaits me.

This is tiny. The saving grace is that the Chef Shack shows up. There's not a whole lot of choices, although they did have "live music" (quotes because the musicians seemed old enough that they may no longer be live at press time)I'll stop by again (for the Shack) I'm sure, and I'll update this if I just went on a bad weekend, but I was seriously underwhelmed.

The last (and indoor) farmer's market of the season for Kingfield was awesome! The array of vendors was perfect. We walked away with goat feta, chocolate croissants, salted chocolate coated caramel, wildflower honey, whey fed pork sausage and more.Kingfield holiday market rocked our world. To say the least. It will be a long winter without another repeat! (hint...hint)
