We tried Kincaid's Country Inn for the first time last night. Really impressive dinner! Bacon-wrapped scallops with wild rice plus their smaller prime rib with potato skins. Nice salad bar and the Italian sausage & gnocchi soup was delicious. Wife tried something new by adding some of their hot bacon dressing to the blue cheese on her salad and it worked out pretty well. Old Fashioneds went down easy, beef was really flavorful and served at the requested temperature but the bacon-wrapped scallops were the best bite of the night. Served in butter they had crunchy bacon wrapped around tender (not at all chewy) scallops such that they cooked together a bit. No fancy seasoning or sauce, just incredibly well prepared and delicious scallops. Both owners stopped by to check on each table while we were there and our waitress took good care of us. Sadly, no room left for dessert. Yum!

Kincaid's has a nice salad bar for the area (two soups, rolls, cold pasta salads, lettuce and toppings for salad, along with cold dressings and hot bacon dressing). The only thing odd was that the clam chowder was spicy - - I had my husband taste it in case my taste buds were tricking me, but he thought maybe they put tabasco in it?? The chicken alfredo is something we would not order again. The queen cut of prime rib was much larger than we anticipated and it was well-seasoned and tender. It's also really nice that they serve prime rib nightly, instead of other places that only offer it on Saturday nights. Our waitress was good through us getting our food and then disappeared; it took forever for us to get our bill and a to-go box so we could hit the road and move on with our night.

Used to come here a lot. It's been awhile. I read previous reviews and I was skeptical. Everything was great.! We will be back.

Many times I lament the need for Yelp to allow reviewers to give half stars; this is not one of those times.Short story - Nice atmosphere, great waitress, alright drinks and not bad food.Long story - Wanted to try another Wisconsin "classic" supper club. Picked said club and went with three others. Parking lot was full but seating was easy.Start with a supper club staple - old fashioned. Had two, shortie glasses. One pretty good, the other average. I've had better and I've had worse.Salad bar - two soups, hot bacon dressing, toast and a varied assortment of vegetables, pasta salads and dressings. Soups were average. Hot bacon dressing was average. Where were the cheese spreads?Meals - King sized prime rib. Nice sized and good flavor. Tender but lacking a little something. One other diner had a raspberry chicken. The breasts were small and had an odd texture. Two with half rack of ribs liked their choice. Ribs were fall-off-bone ready. Sides with meal were good and had right serving temperature. Not a bad place. Without a really good waitress it was probably a 3.5. The waitress was solid and made a 4 star rating possible.

I would classify this place as a blue collar supper club. With a big neon sign advertising food and liquor, it is situated along a lonesome county highway. You immediately know it must have good qualities to have been in business for so long. It's a quaint chalet style northwoods supper club with aged varnish knotty pine woodwork and a variety of Leinenkugels tappers. The hostess came in the form of the owner telling us from across the bar that we'd better have a seat because it might be a few minutes. The bartender was prompt and the old fashioneds were tasty. The place was bustling as it was a Friday fish fry. I could hear a loud group of middle aged Minnesotans enjoying dinner and drinks after some golf but the bar did a good job of jamming them into the back dining area as not to be too boisterous. We only waited about 10 minutes before being seated and our waitress was expeditious. I ordered a rib and shrimp combo. The ribs are a self proclaimed specialty and I would agree. They were meaty and tender covered in a delicious bbq sauce. The shrimp was also very good. You can have it deep fried or broiled and I opted for the latter. My companion ordered a philly steak sandwich which consisted of a made to order slab of prime rib. The side dishes and salad bar were just the cherries on top of an excellent entree. If you are expecting a white glove supper club experience I would go elsewhere but if you want delicious quality food with a fun, neighborhood gathering place type atmosphere, this is the place for you!

Food was basic and poorly prepared - I am not sure if there was any fresh ingredients.Service was friendly, efficient and overall very nice.Ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. Plastic table cloths, cheap cutlery and overall not much to care taken.

One of our meals was cold and hard, and we sent it back and they still charged us for it, and the owner came out and got into an argument with the table because she didn't want to comp that meal! Worst customer service we've ever encountered., and it was from the owner! we had four different friends tell us not to come there because they've had similar experiences, but we wanted to give them a chance, what a mistake that was! Our waitress was very kind and was trying to be helpful but her hands were tied because the owner doesn't allow them to deal with their own customers.

We love supper clubs and found a gem here. We we're seated promptly at time of reservation. There is a wonderful salad bar instead of a relish tray that includes soup. All was fresh and very good. The hot bacon dressing was delicious. I ordered the prime rib which they offer every night. My husband fried chicken livers. I'm picky about my food, but found the prime rib was perfect. Husband loved his. Service was spot on. Including the bartender who came over and listened to recipe of a drink I'd like and mixed it up.

Thought I'd give them a second chance and go there on Friday night. The table we said at had over 20 dead flies on the windowsill. We got the manager and asked him to please clean it up. He did, but then a live fly flew in my drink. We were halfway through dinner, and I did not want it replaced. I just wanted it refunded. At first, the manager said they would do that but when the bill came, it was still on the bill. There were over six of us and our bill was over $200. They would not refund my drink. They said it wasn't their fault that a fly fell in my drink. Do you really think I'm going back again?
