Oh my goodness, such an easy 5 star review. Atmosphere in there is spectacular. We sat at the bar and while the bartender was very busy at first, she was incredible. The cocktails and mocktails were unique and all SO good. My favorite food? I don't know, all of it! Everything we had was 5-stars. We usually go somewhere different each year for my husband's birthday and now he said he plans to go back next year - so that should tell you all you need to know! We went for brunch and intend to check it out again for dinner as well. Thanks Khaluna!

finally made it to the most loved @khaluna.mpls for brunch. the ambiance was nothing short of astounding & if you can, snag a seat at the bar and you'll get a free mimosa to start off your meal. from the start, we were wowed with a complimentary spoonful of delicious sticky rice. every item we tasted afterwards simply went up in ranking. the fan favorite: breakfast fried rice so many peaks, with just one pit around service not being the friendliest or speediest. they unfortunately forgot one of our orders that we had to get boxed in the end to-go. that being said, the quality of the meal made up for it. our orders: BISCUITS & GRAVY ($19) white pepper bechamel, buttermilk biscuits, chives, lao sausage or roasted mushroomsBREAKFAST FRIED RICE ($27) pork belly, lao sausage, bacon, crispy fried egg, garlic, onionUNFEATURED: BASIL WINGS ($17) tempura fried wings, thai basil, jalapenos, signature dry rub

Inside is so beautifully decorated. It's got the warm mood lighting with gorgeous wood ceiling lamps. It's romantic and classy. The food was delicious! Basil wings were simple dry rub , nice and crispy. The jalapeños and Thai basil were tempura fried separately from the wings. The green curry was so tasty!! I was really disappointed in the miniscule amount you get though. My friend got a different curry dish and it was in a large bowl. The green curry was served on a shallow plate and I really couldn't slurp it like most curry dishes(see pictures) really amazing flavor but I wanted more curry! The massaman had nice meaty milky flavors. I overall enjoyed our dishes here. Everything was quite spendy though and I probably won't be a frequent here. You can enjoy the chefs cheaper but still amazingly delicious curry at gai noi. Still great food and a good time.

Khâluna blew us away tonight for dinner! Every dish was like a piece of artwork Favorites of the group were: basil wings, shrimp rolls, yellow curry and duck fried rice. The service was so friendly, and thoughtful. The decor is unique, and the restaurant felt warm and inviting. I highly recommend a group dinner here so you can taste a little bit of everything!

This is more fine dining with not so typical food options. Similar to Hawaiian food. Seafood and duck options. Beautiful plating. If you want to play safe order the basil wings , the japs are not spicy. Crap fried rice was safe, but my pregnant savage self was wanting some soy sauce or yum yum sauce. Also ordered the tropical NA drink , very refreshing!!

This is the cutest restaurant I've been to in Minnesota. I'm almost surprised it even exists here! The ambiance is amazing, and the food is equally great.I loved everything I tried. I had the sakoo, bucatini, longan fried rice, and mango fish. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was surprisingly the longan fried rice. The waitress was very helpful and gave great recommendations.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. If you're looking to escape the winter cold and feel like you're somewhere warmer, this is your place. I wish I had taken more pictures but we were too busy enjoying the food and atmosphere!We had incredible service the entire time and always felt taken care of. I started with the Sok Dee cocktail that our server recommended as a good tequila drink. So refreshing and beautifully presented. The basil wings were some of the best wings I have ever had. Such good flavor and the perfect amount of crispy. We also got the Winter Vegetables. Also very unique flavors and would try again. Lastly, the Duck Fried Rice was amazing. Lots of flavor and very filling. There is free street parking but they also offer valet parking. Will definitely be back!!!

10/10 recommend this restaurant! I'd go back to Minneapolis from Ohio just for this yellow curry! I'm so grateful my friends invited me to join them for this dinner. We had a community dinner so I tried several dishes that aren't pictured but nothing I had tasted bad. Just something's were better than others.First, the pallet cleanser was delicious. Then the coconut shrimp and rice noddles were good. The spicy jam made it better.The crab fried rice was soooo good!! The crispiness from the the puff rice was spot on!But that yellow curry was life changing! I have no idea how I went so long without yellow curry in my life! The wine was good!Service was top tier! We felt well attended to. The sorbet was delicious! Go here on a date or with a group! The ambiance is a vibe!

Service was very attentive and provided great recommendations. The establishment was very helpful with allergies- going as far as to re-label a menu for me, making substitutes as needed. Great tapas, the best bucatini in my life. As someone who loves tom yum and pasta the Bucatini Talay was a dream come true. & as always, the basil wings are a must try when visiting any of Chef Ann Ahmed's establishmentsThe ambiance was like being transported to a sunset evening Southeast Asia restaurant. Between the warm summer breeze, tasteful dishes and good company one could not go wrong with picking this place

I've been a couple times, but this last visit was chefs kiss in so many ways, the service was impeccable. Isabella was our server and was friendly, knowledgeable, and all around on top of her game. We started with the shrimp rolls and loved the eggroll AND spring roll vibe all in one. The green curry and scallops was new for the season and stole the show for me, best curry I've ever eaten!! 100/10 suggest! Duck fried rice because I feel it's a bit of a staple for me on their menu. We finished with a beautiful pistachio orange blossom delight with baclava crunch. So create with flavor AND texture and the perfect amount of sweet to end out meal. All in all probably my most favorite dining experience in the last 6 months!
