Kendall's Tavern & Chophouse

We tried takeout for the first time. I called during the busy time (6:00) and expected a long wait. Within 45 minutes, we had our food and ready to eat. I took a star away since one of my dressings was missing and no eating essentials. Based on the picture, it looked like fries were part of the fish and chips, plus a side. I didn't have any chips and/or fries.

Kendall's overlooks a golf course so provides for some nice scenery and people watching if you're into that sort of thing.Food-wise, nothing really stands out as exceptional but nothing was too bad either. For my main, I opted for the ribeye and while it was not bad, it definitely wasn't a home run by any stretch of the imagination. I'd maybe even venture to say the carrots were the star of the plate - which is both not good and not bad if that even makes sense?Kendall's is a fancied up bar-type venue, but there is nothing wrong with that as long as you're not expecting a true chophouse experience per the name.

Reservations recommended. We had family in town and they wanted to eat steak. Food was tasty, my daughter kept giving the thumbs up. We even bought some pull tabs in the bar area. But didn't pull any winners. Great service, our waitress checked on us often. This restaurant has a tavern and rustic feel inside. There were a few birthday parties in the building so the parking lot was full.

This place is a hidden gem in coon rapids at the golf course. I ordered a dirty martini which most places don't have blue cheese stuffed olives but they did. The chicken wild rice soup was flavorful and a reasonable portion . I also got a salad but for dinner I got a medium rare steal with mushrooms, onions& blue cheese everything from food to service was 8/10They had dessert but I was too full but definitely going back to explore the desert and pizza because they have a wood fire oven!

This place is extremely inconsistent. I've been there about six times in the last year and we've never all had a good experience until our visit on December 22, my wife tried the fish and chips and I had the chicken strips. The table next to us had the same thing and it looked really good. We also ordered a giant pretzel for an appetizer but we never received it. The waitress took it off the bill but this was the best food experience we've had at Kendall's. I've always liked the atmosphere I just haven't had a good meal until then. So, I went back a week later my wife and I got the same thing much smaller portions the fries were old, the chicken tenders were over cooked and dry. My daughter got the rotisserie melt and tater tots hers was good. I don't know that I can keep wasting money trying their food but it is a nice atmosphere and close to home.

The whiskey burger was delicious! The perfectly cooked patty with a hint of pink was mouthwatering, and the crunchy onion rings add a nice textural contrast even for someone that is not an onion lover. 4/5While the strong Dijon sauce might not have been my favorite, the warm and chewy Bavarian pretzel was a great overall experience. they need to add one more cheese sauce, since it was not enough cheese. 3.25/5

First time here after looking for a restaurant close to an event I was at in Andover. Service was a bit lacking. We got one set of silverware and one menu for our group of four. Our server was not quick with drinks or to take our order despite it being pretty slow. Food was good, but then our server disappeared after we ordered another round of drinks. Wedding party came in while we were eating and it was so incredibly loud we couldn't hear anything. Noticed our server was gone and we were told he went to work the wedding party. Pretty average all around. Would not make a special trip to come back.

Go for the outdoor deck ambiance, not the food. To be fair they tried to make it right, but fell short. The first item I ordered was a Tanqueray and Tonic. The tonic was flat, they brought 2 more each as bad as the first. The claimed they used bottled tonic... it must have been opened and old. Then came the sirloin. It's a "chop house, but only offers 3 cuts of beefsteak. My waitress forgot to ask how I would like it done, so I had to flag down someone to run interference. I asked for medium, it came quite well done. I grazed on my 1 onion ring for 4 dollars extra. they brought another whole dinner. I have to say the meat was not memorable. My friend had the salmon which she said was fine. We shared a creme brûlée which was good. I would go back for the view, not the food.

Food was good but the service on Father's Day 2024 was terrible (waitress only) the tatted up lady that served us had a bad attitude, not in the least bit friendly and didn't seem to care about her job. Quite disappointed on what was to be a nice day/Birthday. We've had great service before from other waitresses and waiters and the staff was better than this young lady. A shame when you spend good money at an otherwise nice restaurant. Maybe the wrong place for her to be working??? Steak/ Fish and BBQ pork hops were done perfectly but we went elsewhere for desert.

Ordered the rotisserie chicken melt and it was very disappointing. There was only about four teaspoon size pieces of chicken. It was all of 1/4" thick. My husband ordered the pot pie. There were a ton of peas and not much chicken or other filling. Would not recommend.
