KC's Saloon

The food was delicious! I never would have pegged this small town saloon for a place to grab a bite to eat but it did not disappoint. Super yummy! The service was good but not the friendliest or most welcoming. All in all, good experience and definitely a way to capture the essence of small town Pillager.

A true small town gem! Excellent burgers and good drinks. Great backyard seating area and friendly staff. As a new resident of Pillager this was a great find and delicious meal!

The food was always good! I only went in a few times since the remodel, once I seen the cook drop some frozen food on the floor proceeded to pick it up washed it and then deep fried it. I confronted him and he said it was cleaned and the oil would kill any germs (not the point) also the bartender was very belittling to customers and the owner could lay off the good stuff. Her pupils were the size of quarters

Nice clean little small town bar. Waitress was attentive. Onion rings for appetizer were good. Ordered two of their burgers with fries. The burgers were over cooked and the fries were WELL done to the very point of almost burnt. crispy shoestrings. I asked to have my order redone which the waitress said no problem. 8 minutes later I had an order of fries just about as bad as the first ones. Maybe the cook could use better lighting Atmosphere was nice and they had some good old school rock playing. Just wish the food had been better.

An ex had talked endlessly about Pillager, MN, so on a trip up north I had to stop in town. KC's was a nice little place, very much a friendly Minnesota bar. Had a couple beers and the fried chicken gizzards. If I was vacationing nearby again I'd definitely hit KC's up

We have a cabin near by and always love stopping in to KC's. The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the beer is flowing. It is also clean and one of the nicer small town bars I've been to.

Just bought a cabin in the area and stopped in for dinner and a drink. The place is a little local bar with a couple pool tables and a nice bar. We weren't expected anything more than a typical bar menu and were so pleasantly surprised. The broasted chicken is some of the best I have had anywhere and I'm a broasted chicken nut. My wife had a fantastic tilapia dish as well. We had a couple drinks and they were well made and very reasonably priced. Then our server asked us if we wanted pie. She didn't ask if we wanted desert, she asked if we wanted PIE! She said they have someone local who makes it regularly (I don't remember if was daily). There were two kinds the day we were there. We flipped a coin and ordered a piece. OMG!! It was absolutely delicious so we ordered. Piece of the other kind as well. Also outstanding. However, despite the great food and drinks, the real hit of the evening was at the end when we were leaving, everyone working (including the owner) came over and introduced themselves since they "hadn't seen us there before". They asked where we were from and we told them we had just purchased a lake home nearby. They were so friendly, thanked us for coming, told us about their special dinner events, including ribeyes in Friday/Sat and welcomed us to the area. This is exactly the type if place where you want to be a regular, but if you're not, they treat you like one.

German nachos were amazing!! Service was also great!! Beer was super cold! Pull tabs were a big hit! Pricing was also pretty reasonable!

Don't. Just don't. Terrible food, terrible service. We had the German nachos and were told they take 15 minutes. They took 35, and ours was the only food order in. They were essentially cremated potato chips with a scant topping of cheese, sour kraut and very old ham (very little of all of the above.). There was no sauce and no follow up from a server. Absolutely awful.

Best bloody Mary's in the BLA. Food is phenomenal. Friendly hometown vibe. Love this place!!!
