Just Ka's

This is one of those small bars you walk into because the reviews are good and it's obvious you aren't a regular as you stick out. We were there early while in the area, stopped in and thought we'd give it a try. Walked in wasn't sure what to think, there aren't many tables at all to sit at, it's very small. We took one of the few non hightop tables, looked at the menu and tried to decided what to get. The server, which was the bartender was very nice. She was helpful and answered all the questions we had. We ordered our drinks, then our food and when it came OMG!! It was SO GOOD!! The cheesecurds they call them breaded but they are more like a very light mix of breading and battered, they are done on site with their house seasoning, they were good, not too greasy. The burgers were AMAZING!! Very juicy and good and the prices were perfect, I would totally go here again.

Cold beer, great food, fair prices, friendly staff and owner, nicely updated with comfortable bar stools. Expanded seating in the back for special events or groups. Small summer patio space to enjoy nice weather. Loaded taco tots are my favorite!

We stopped because of reviews and the cheese curds were darn good with a dipping sauce, also ordered a Burger, which came with fries, the burger looked like a frozen patty but cooked perfectly and was just fine, fries were good, 2 Budweiser Beers for $13.95..almost FREE! The Waitress ( Owner?) not sure was very spunky and a lot of Fun!I'd recommend based on the (Waitress /Bartender,/ Cook) a Funny lady!!I'd love to steal her for my own Favorite Bar in Red Wing... The Elks# 845!!!

Amazing food, service and energy. The owner was so sweet to my grandmother and I. 10/10 definitely will visit again.

Just Ka's is the quintessential Wisconsin - we stopped here during Ragnar. Food was great, beer was cold and no doubt the staff cares more about ensuring the patrons (new and locals) have a great experience first and make a profit second. This place gets 5 stars because it's exactly what you expect and I wouldn't change a thing... well maybe change one damaged TV but that's it!

Don't come for food during Ragnar unless you don't mind waiting 2 hours (not an exaggeration) for your food. I get that most of the runners won't be regulars, but to offer no sort of discount or a free app during the wait is not ok, and we were told it would be less time the 2 times we asked.Food was good once we had it, atmosphere is fine, definitely the only reasons for 2 stars.

Here for Ragnar. When you're tired and running this is the best place to go for a burger and beer. Staff (particularly Bridget) were fantastic. Food was delicious service was good. Free darts on Fridays. Back next year.

What an awesome Bloody Mary! A snack with in the drink beef stick, stuffed olives, spear pickle , mushroom, pearl onion and just the right amount of kick. We'll definitely be back!!

This place is awesome! We had the appetizer sampler with cheese curds and broccoli poppers. Cheese curds were fresh (as to be expected in Ellsworth) and the hand battered was just enough to add flavor without getting greasy. The broccoli poppers... Amazing. My girlfriend introduced me to them, and we will make the trip back for more.As for the burgers... the reviews did not disappoint. We both got the fajita burgers, and I'm still drooling over them. Nice sized patty, drenched in pepperjack cheese, covered with a pile of chopped bell peppers. A side of salsa and sour cream just topped it off perfectly. As you can see, I don't write many reviews. This place impressed me enough to write one. I travel a lot for work, and we always try to find the "hole in the wall" joints--this is a great one in Ellsworth.

Stopped in today after a cheese run to Ellsworth Creamery. We were pleasantly surprised by a delicious Bloody Mary. We also ordered two well prepared burgers. We had a Mel's burger with fresh cheese curds and Outlaw burger with awesome burbon sauce. Our bartender/cook added fun conversation to the whole experience! We definately will be stopping back.
