Great service and a good bold cup of coffee. The food was your standard cafe food - nothing that stands out- but I would come back again.

Needed dinner after a long day of work so I stopped by here for a to go order. It was a quiet night and the service was great and attentive. I had heard the breasted chicken was great and that's what I ordered. I got it with the cole slaw and hot German potato salad. I also had a slice of their banana cream pie. It was all delish, but the pie was soggy and just ok. Even with that, I totally recommend this restaurant!

My second visit - I'm bumping them up a star - a solid and well deserved 5 star experience! If you've never been to Joseph's Family Restaurant before, the best way I can describe it is they're similar to Perkins (if you're from Minnesota) or maybe a Denny's except 100 times better. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also have a full bar. Many items are made in-house with a unique twist. You can definitely taste the difference. It's been almost exactly 3 years since my first visit. This time I introduced a friend of mine from Wisconsin. We both ordered breakfasts and we both topped things off with pie. Everything was excellent. The portions were generous. The service was great. Despite everything being assaulted by horrible inflation, especially food, I feel the prices are still very reasonable.I won't drone on and bore everyone with a long review. My photos say it all. Yum!A big thumbs up!-Maxx

Have been coming to this place since before I can remember - it was one of grandma's favorite places to go for dinner. My favorite thing is the coconut chicken strips. You can even get them in a (pretty decent, IMO) salad if you're trying to be a little more health conscious. They come with honey mustard, but I always ask for BBQ. To be fair, I don't think they actually need sauce because the flavor is fine on its own. Always ask what the soup and specials are too.And don't forget to save room for PIE. I go as often as I can in the summer, as strawberry pie has ALWAYS been my favorite here. They definitely have some other flavors you won't see other places, but they have your typical standbys too.

The food is always tasty but the portions are not consistent. I have had nice big omelets and nice portion of hash browns and other times left very hungry because the portion was scant. I'm guessing the cooks are not all on the same page. One omelet I had had a folded round 7" pan tiny pan fried omelette the other time I had a nice big omelette which had been folded several times and was much bigger like a Chipotle burrito. Pancakes have been good. We like the all day breakfast too.

We meet a couple of people here for a business meeting. We had a reserved booth in the corner by the window. Pepsi no coke. They serve breakfast all day and that is my fav meal of the day so breakfast for lunch for me. French toast is a signature item and I love French toast so match made in heaven. Their French toast was like fried cinnamon sugar toast dipped in syrup. Seriously good. I like that they had a cup of syrup so I could dip rather than pour syrup on my toast. So good. Stole a few of husband's fries and were those ever good too. So crispy. Loving breakfast for lunch or dinner or snack. Maybe we should only eat breakfast!

Ate here for lunch after long pole vault competition. Food was ok. Service was terrible. Waitress took a long time to get our order so we left off the appetizer. Had to flag her down to get refills, condiment bottles were empty and she tossed the to go box in front of my wife. Seemed very rude. Possibly angry about something. Even messed up my eggs as well as the drinks at the table next to us.

Stopped here with my wife for dinner. I drive by often but have never stopped. Clean, friendly and attentive to the customers. We had dinner and took a full pie to go with us as a gift to friends. We dine out A LOT and I try not to complain about items that I can deal with. I had the sirloin which was the toughest one I can ever remember having. I worked through it and decided that maybe we should try Joseph's again and just not order steak. Those around us were having burgers, sandwiches and other items. All seemed satisfied and I'd guess that many come here frequently. We'll try again when we're out this way.

I've never been so unbelievably disappointed in my entire life with 1. The presentation of the food. 2. The quality of food 3. The taste of the food. The Walleye bites are battered. And the batter is the most flavorless batter I have ever had in my entire life. It made some of the british fish and chips seem like a 5 star meal. The key lime pie was bad the second I saw it. IF YOU NEED TO ADD FOOD DYE TO MAKE IT LOOK GOOD IT PROBABLY ISNT GOOD. The thing was greener than shrek. That's NOT what I want in my body. Unbelievable that they don't have pictures of like any of their food items on doordash. Makes sense since none of it looked even remotely appealing or appetizing. I get why people above thr age of like 50 eat here. They lack any sense of taste, smell or semblance of tastebuds. I genuinely wish I could have refunded the entire order. I actually want my money back. No I didn't even eat the food. I threw it away. I almost never ever waste food. $50 worth of food is groceries for a few days. If it was half what I ordered then yeah maybe but even then it wasn't worth it. I will not be coming back. I would genuinely rather order Burger King, at least then I know what I'm getting myself into.
