This place is dope, I didn't realize there was life outside of New York.

Great dive bar with no frills. Service is friendly and polite. We didn't order food but I'm sure it's average bar stuff.

One of my favorite dive bars in Minneapolis. Situated on in northeast, this is a real neighborhood joint with friendly locals and a great group of bartenders. They serve a variety of different local beers and cocktails...all cash. On the plus side, there is always a mix of customers...locals, trend setters, influencers, retirees, etc. Even on a Monday night! The swag is very decent . They have a robust collection of video games and pull tabs!(apologies if I speed that wrong) it's clean but I would pause on ordering any food. On my most recent outing, a local , bought me a local specialty from Princeton Minnesota, Laroux, that tasted like blackberries and cough syrup. I had two....

Was recommended this neighborhood dive and was thoroughly disappointed. Expensive, small drinks and despite a full bar - the grumpy bartender refused to make several basic cocktails(a gin and tonic was about the only thing they'd make). Let's just say I won't be back.

Jimmy's is the epitome of a neighborhood bar. Food is available, but it's certainly a drinking establishment. Bartenders who know their stuff and talk to both regulars and newbies on their downtime. Order their famous cocktail: the Bullfrog!

Jimmy's is a dive bar in northeast Minneapolis. It is pretty small and usually crowded on weekends. Did not try the food, but had to go to the bar for service because there wasn't anyone walking around. The drinks were pretty cheap though! If I needed a quick drink I'd go again, but not on my list of favorites spots.

Yes, I'm giving it 5 stars. Same as Young Joni. OK, it's a little different...When I have a mental image of my ideal dive bar, this is it. DROP CEILING, just like grampa's basement. NAUGAHYDE chairs. DARK AF. The darker the better ATMO, and this place is one of the darkest I've ever been in. I don't think there are windows??? The vibe is just perfect for drinking and hanging out with friends.I ordered a round of brewskis - I think it came to 13 bucks or something and the group audibly gasped (from LA, SF, Boston). So cheap and so good.Just come in and enjoy yourself - it's truly a gem of this neighborhood.

A favorite NE dive bar. Cozy spot in the winter. Wish they had a patio or at least more windows for the summer. Bartenders are great folks and drinks are cheap and tasty. Don't forget your cash. That's all they take.

Never been outside of New York so didn't know what to expect, it has the vibes of a bar in midtown east. Big venue that can easily be for performances with a large floor, spacious is the word. Forgot the prices but apparently everything outside of my city is cheap(2 for one on a drinks special during the day). Huge tap selection and what seems like a full bar. One day I will be back, thanks for the booze

Jimmy's is a solid NE dive bar. This wood paneled oasis has the beef sticks around. Meat raffles, beef & cheese sticks, and $3.50 drinks? Truly a dive bar staple.
