My family and I enjoyed dim sum on our first visit to Jade Dynasty. I am so very glad we made reservations ahead of time. The line was incredible...but I expect that for any dim sum place on a Saturday mid-morning.Food did not disappoint. The pieces were just the right size for a table of 4. We sampled favorites like har gao, bbq and steamed buns, and siu mai. The radish cakes (lo bok gow), steamed, very quickly became a favorite as well. The atmosphere is a little chaotic as it was the first weekend of Lunar New Year. I suspect many families came out to celebrate with friends like we did. Overall, would definitely go back again.

We came here for lunch. The restaurant is beautifully put together. Great staff. We ordered shrimp dumplings, beef meatballs, pepper steak stir fry, Chinese broccoli and corn soup. The food was ok., soup too salty and chickeny. I was hoping for some really delicious Chinese food as I try to make a lot of these dishes at home.

Have been hearing so many good things about this place and so went with my friend to celebrate my belated birthday luncheon. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs that is for sure. The pace of the food coming out was slow at first which was great because it gave us a chance to enjoy each entree without rushing and filling up too fast. The restaurant was busy but we got seated right away and service was great. Our server was courteous and friendly with honest recommendations and offerings. The prices were reasonable as well. The Thai fusion chicken feet has a little kick of spiciness and crunchy but I prefer this over the original dim sum style chicken feet. The fried pork dumplings were great with the crispiness on the outside and chewy on the inside. The Japanese style shrimp fried rice was flavorful and very good. It pairs well with the watercress in garlic sauce. I was a little disappointed with the beef congee as it was bland with no flavor and the beef was bland as well. It needed some salt but there were no salt at the table. Plus the picture of the beef congee had a lot more beef than what was served. The shrimp tofu was good but it could have more sauce since it tasted plain in bites where there were no sauce. The shrimp rice roll was good. Overall, it was a good lunch place and will have to go back to try more of the dinner dishes and it was sad that they don't offer the Hainanese chicken anymore on their menu. Also, it would be nice if the parking was free or somehow incorporated into the bill.

Unfortunately this was a huge disappointment. We arrived for lunch and waited forever for our food. The dim sum items were decent but the noodle soups literally just used hot water as the base for the blandest soup ever. I convinced my sister to go because when they were Hong Kong Noodle I loved their noodle soups, but never again. There are way better Chinese restaurants in the Twin Cities.

The food was the star of our experience. Everything we tried was fresh , delicious. You have a choice to order dishes to share or dim sum. Serving size was great to share. Prices are around 7 for dim sum up to 25 for half of the duck . Restaurant is beautiful. Service is on the slower side, so be ok with waiting. They were really busy so that's understandable. Our server was really sweet and helpful.

To me, this is the ideal Americanized Chinese restaurant. Everything is fresh and well prepared, and none of it is at all greasy. We started with the shrimp spring rolls, and I was pleasantly surprised that the inside contains only large chunks of shrimp. No filler! They're perfectly crisp on the outside, and juicy and savory on the inside. The potstickers have nice crispy browned edges, and tender wrappers and filling, with a classic vinegary soy sauce. Egg drop soup is full of lacy strips of egg, studded with bits of carrot and peas for texture. The Szechuan string beans are the best I've had in the Twin Cities. As you can see from the photo, they're fresh, bright green, speckled with lots of garlic and chopped Chinese preserved vegetable. But look carefully at the plate - no oil! That's usually the flaw with string beans, that they're floating in a pool of grease. But not this one. Just crisp beans and lots of flavor. The General Tao's chicken was also very tasty. Crispy chunks of chicken and crispy hot peppers surrounded by a ring of broccoli. But an unusual touch were the bits of crispy rice underneath that added another layer of crunch. I also asked for a dish that I didn't see on the menu, but they were happy to accommodate. I got chicken and veggies (Chinese broccoli, snow peas, and carrots) in a brown sauce on top of a bed of crispy noodles. I love how part of noodle is crispy, and part is soft from the sauce. It seems like they're very flexible if you want to change an ingredient to a similar dish they make. The only dish I didn't love was the fried rice. There's nothing wrong with it, but it tastes pretty basic. All the other dishes I had were far superior to other Chinese restaurants in MN though. I will definitely be back to try more dishes!

I have been here 3 times now since their grand opening. The chef is very good. He and his wife used to own HK noodle in Dinkytown. I recommend their beef chow fun, braised eelIn black beans, wonton soup, green yu choy with garlic, fried fish fillet with Szechuan pepper, satay seafood hot pot etc. We went one time on a weekday night and the waiter offered us free dessert. That was the highlight of our visit to the restaurant. Honestly, I can't wait to go back.

This establishment is stunning. Right when you walk in you have a sense of fine dining. Nice palace for date night. They have family style authentic Cantonese food, dim sum (made to order) and American Chinese as well. My initial thought is they have so many different food items it's going to be hit or miss on taste. I was wrong everything we order was very good. The service was great. They have a full bar there as well.

I tried this place for a second time with my sister on my birthday weekend and I got the wanderers punch. They say it is the original recipe from the Nankin, but it tasted like it was filled with a lot of Sprite and not very boozy at all so definitely would not try that again. I ordered the dumplings and those were very good and I also ordered the Singapore noodles which had no flavor my sister ordered some kind of beef dish and it was delicious. Not sure if I will return. The service was great though and had a bit of trouble parking because I didn't want to park in the parking lot in the back because it was freezing outside. The ambience was nice big nice booth to sit in very comfortable.

We went for mid-week lunch with a group of 5, and I'm not sure I've ever used "impressive" and "audacious" in a restaurant review before. The food was superb, the service was excellent, and restaurant was elegant but approachable. They're really doing something on Lake Street. We drove 45 minutes to get there, and we'll do it again soon.
