Ike's Food & Cocktails

They start everyone off with a large caramel roll. So fun and delicious. The size is alarming in a good way!I was here for brunch today. They serve their mimosas as a full glass of champagne and a cute little carafe of OJ so you can determine your OJ To champagne ratio. Brilliant! I ordered their Bloody Mary. The menu explains there will be like 15+ garnishes including shrimp. My friend also ordered one as well. Neither of us got shrimp. Her garnish was missing items. The Bloody Mary was watery but spicy. I would rather have had my $11 back. I barely drank half. The brunch is family style. Everyone picks their eggs and then everyone shares a massive plate of bacon, hash browns, sausage and pancakes. It's unlimited for just $18. However we did not receive pancakes. I'm not sure if you have to ask for those but it was listed as a side. Really cute places, would definitely go back to try other menu options. I enjoy the buffet style but knowing you're getting freshly cooked items.

I originally emailed this to the owner/manager, but they didn't even bother to respond. One of the other operators said he was sorry, and all the Ike's are independently run. The ratings on this store should not reflect on the downtown location or the Minnetonka one in my opinion. This was from my email to the Ike's Bloomington regarding brunch on 7-13-19"Hello, Rather than ranting on Google or Yelp and never coming back, I thought I would try reaching out to you about an experience we had this weekend instead. My wife and I had company in town, and they suggested Perkins for brunch. I said, "No way, I've got a much better place, really nice, great service and amazing food." Boy was I embarrassed this weekend at your Bloomington location. The food was still very good, but the service was so slow it was like we were on candid camera or in some psychologists experiment. I had to get up twice to ask for initial service, then a pancake refill for my son. A simple request for a straw and water took about 10 minutes! I understand it's really hard to find good help these days. Plus it wasn't very busy, dead in fact, so perhaps it's a money-losing store or day for you. But I grew up making special trips downtown to your restaurant. I really hope this is just an anomaly. It's not the experience I would want my customers having if I wanted them to ever come back and spend $120 on brunch. Thanks for reading, and have a good week!"

Disappointing. I adore Ike's downtown, and was hoping this would offer similar experience. It was a huge let down. We came for Brunch on Mother's Day. We've enjoyed the brunch downtown, and thought this would be the same. Nope. No caramel roll was offered, although one was brought when we asked. Instead of eggs made to order, there was a buffet with a few items. No pancakes, sausage, bacon or hash browns brought to the table. The restaurant was understaffed (for which the waitress apologized), drink orders were slow, and the ambiance could best be described as "corporate hotel". This Ike's was nothing special. We will not return.

I've loved going downtown to Ikes on 7th street for many years. When they opened up a location in Bloomington I was ecstatic. Unfortunately the Bloomington location is 180° opposite of the downtown location in terms of quality, service, ambiance, etc. This place is terrible. I took a large party of family members to this Ike's location on Easter for brunch. It was pathetic. The food selection was limited. To say it was average would be an overstatement. Don't waste your time or money at this place. There are many, many better places in Bloomington. However if you want to experience the "Real" Ike's, go downtown.

We ordered via takeout last week and it made our evening and week. Our family's "shelter in place" week had been filled with stress, anxiety and some tears but your food delivery made us laugh and filled us with great food. We are now 110% loyal! We will be ordering again tonight and plan on doing so every week while this covid crisis continues. Cant wait to go back in person and get a cocktail from the bar. OMG, Ike's Food & Cocktails was truly excellent. They have great selection of items with fair prices for what u get. Every thing that we got was delicious. The staff was attentive, fast, and very friendly. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

I can normally find the good in every place, but this location of Ike's, is a disaster. The service is comical, there's like 15 people working yet nobody comes to your table. Order the top sirloin, it was a lump of meat that resembled a baked potato. Flavorless, I'm not even sure what cut of beef this is but six at the table, five order the sirloin, each one looks completely different from the other. They seemed like slabs of top round maybe, just sliced off of a huge roast. I can't stress enough how poor the service was, everyone else on this site says the same about this location. And they are 100% honest.we had dirty plates at our table the entire evening yet we were the only ones in the restaurant.I mean seriously just an all-around awful experience.The upside was I was surrounded by great people, coworkers all of them were interesting and took the poor service and poor food in stride

We went to Ike's for Mother's day brunch. There were several open tables in the restaurant but we were seated back by the bar. Dishes were dropped by the waitstaff twice. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks.The food was mediocre and was quite picked over. It was not refilled at all when we were there. Furthermore, we sent an email to the restaurant to complain and did not receive any response. Will not return to this restaurant.

Nice ambiance and seems like It could be a place for good food .... but . This is a case of the tail wagging the dog , when the kitchen is more concerned with how early they can get off the clock than taking care of its customers. Came in an hour before close , and the kitchen refused to make anything , the bartender Maryanne was great, very friendly and begged and pleaded with the kitchen to make something but all they had were some cold chips and salsa . So, shitty service from the guys in the kitchen, never go here if you want any food .

STAY CLEAR OF IKS!Mother's Day brunch 2018 was a rip off! Stay away from Iks! We thought we were going to Iks family brunch for $18pp! Ended up $30pp and a crap buffet with no omelets cooked to order! Other reviews on Ilks echo my review! He-hostess greeted us in jeans and a collarless knit shirt! SAD OVER ALL EXPERIENCE! Zero stars!25 patrons in line for one sided buffet! One green salad and one pasta salad! Cheap! No bread, rolls, pastry, crackers, cheese!
