I really like finding a new place for Asian food. I tend to judge a restaurant by its hot & sour soup and this was not great; good, not great. The soup had a different texture, thick like bone broth. It was also pretty oily from - I assume - chili oil because it had a nice heat. The Larry Lo Mein was a huge portion I haven't finished three days later! The curry flavor develops a lot more after a day in the fridge. I wasn't expecting the curry, but it was a pleasant surprise. Finally, I had the Firecracker Chicken and subbed white rice with fried rice. There are plenty of onions, the heat is good, and they don't skimp on the chicken, but again, kind of oily. The fried rice really had no flavor, so don't bother paying more to substitute.

House of Kai is under new ownership and the food is great. You can get traditional or Asian fusion food. We really like the Chow Mein and egg rolls

We ordered pickup tonight and oh my goodness it was good. Our usually place was closed so we decided to give it a try. My husband picked up and he said it was really nice and clean inside. I got the House Special Pad Thai- it was so incredibly fresh and they did not skimp on the protein. I do wish it had a bit more kick but that's always something I can ask for next time. My husband got the orange chicken and subbed the white rice for the egg fried rice. Both were pretty good in taste, fresh and great quality overall. He did say he wished it had slightly more flavor but overall great. Prices were really reasonable and the portions were what dreams are made of. We will definitely be returning!

Great staff and menu makes this place a super lunch spot. I was expecting to walk in and see a sad buffet, but no, it is all off the menu ordering. Great selection of dishes on the lunch menu. Most selections are around $7 which get you an entree and an egg roll or two wontons. I ordered the Kung pao chicken extra spicy. It was really good and obviously prepared to order. Lots of chilies and veg. The egg roll was not bad either. If you order hot tea you get a large carafe for just a $1. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great stop for lunch in EP.

This is our favorite family spot! Any time we are near or going through Eden Prairie we make a point to get take out. I absolutely love the garlic broccoli (spicy) and my spouse always gets the chicken and green beans. We have yet to find another place that compares! Highly recommend.

Ordered chicken lo mein and chicken pad thai, egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. No flavor in either of the dishes, no cream cheese in our wontons, egg rolls were mediocre... very disappointing.

House of Kai?More like House of Cry.My sister tried this place after being intrigued with the menu.We ordered an Egg Foo Yung, chicken pad thai, and a pork lo mein.ALL THE FOOD WAS TASTELESS.The Pad Thai was devoid of sauce and didn't taste even remotely close to what a "traditional" pad thai should look or taste like.The Pork Lo Mein was also flavorless. No salt, no seasoning. Nothing.The egg foo yung had a really odd sweet sauce that just didn't belong.Everything about our order felt like it was made by a crew who didn't understand how flavors should mesh or what a dish should look like.Will not be ordering from them ever again.

I basically grew up running around this place. The owner is one of the nicest men I've ever met. As a child, he knew me by name. Now he knows my children by name. As for the food, nothing better for friday night take out. Their pork fried rice puts everyone else's to shame. Beef and broccoli.. yes please. This is the hidden gem of EP!!

Excellent service, great food, kind staff. Got takeout here and really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend!

The worst fried rice in the metro area. Dry, old rice with old tasting, tough, bland pork. How does this place stay open?
