thankyou house of charity for being such assholes! thankyou for not serving the food that's good for people, not for profit. talk about wanting to save money, they call a 1 inch piece of burnt stale garlic toast as substitute for a fresh 8 inch meat filled burrito, yeah that was the replacement for the burrito, a one inch stale burnt piece of garlic toast! that's how those people are, white, self absorbed, selfish, bigots. their out is that people who are served are supposed to be grateful. sorry but the diabetics among your "class of people" are not grateful for your food choices which are high carb cheap excuses to save the money for your participating churches. lets serve garbage instead and call it food. high salt, high carb, high sugar. thats how they roll. the meat they DONT SERVE. their constant refusal to serve is getting them big pockets that they dont have to report. the organizations that donate their time to serve are even more arrogant than that. they refuse to serve too, because they have to serve the garbage first, (one inch piece of goddamn stale burnt garlic toast that was inedible and donated because IT WAS INEDIBLE !) oh the poor wont care, they will eat anything if they are hungry enough. this attitude needs to die, not the people you serve. scew you, and your poor excuse for a food organization!

Can I give zero stars? This organization is a disgrace. My daughter was unfortunately referred to them by the equally disgraceful Fairview Riverside for outpatient heroin treatment despite my insistence that she desperately needed a higher level of care due to her extreme situation. There's too much to say here but in short, she's been in and out of treatment centers the past 3 years, always relapses the first chance she gets with her disaster of a boyfriend, was clinically dead twice in September/August of 2018 from 3 overdoses in that time before luckily getting revived. After getting kicked out of a sober house in March for using again she refused treatment and remained homeless for 3 months. She spent every day robbing people, pawning stolen merchandise and committing check fraud to buy heroin. She eventually agreed to let me bring her to detox but it was obvious from the beginning that she was just trying to get the most lenient center so she could get free room and board but still maintain this disastrous lifestyle. She needs inpatient with serious mental health assistance and really should be committed but instead these people just let her come and go as she pleases and they don't care that she's been robbing people, committing fraud and scamming to get drug money since the first day she went there. In a sense it's admirable to keep people off the street but when they have a parent telling them the full story and begging for assistance in getting her into a residential treatment center but they instead just ignore the problem, they're just signing her death warrant. Ultimately she's the one responsible for this horrible behavior and she'll pay the consequences if she doesn't change but an organization tasked with helping addicts shouldn't be making it easier for her to maintain this lifestyle until it kills her.To give a better idea of how bad they've been, realize this: It was clear from day one that she was already scamming, stealing and using and only went there for the free room and board so I notified them. The first person acted concerned but said she'd refer it to a manager. A second person showed no concern and said that I'd just have to discuss it with my daughter since she couldn't do anything. A manager took a week to finally answer the phone but never returned a call. Then he agreed to get back to me via email about whether or not she was even staying there each night but took another 5 days before he replied to that initial concern despite the fact that I sent two more emails in that time with much more information about her inappropriate activities. His response was that she didn't show up 4 of the 10 days and he didn't seem to think that this was a problem at a drug treatment and housing center and didn't warrant moving her to a higher level of care. As for the counselor that's most involved with her staying sober...... no response in 2 weeks. They don't take it seriously at all. If someone is reading this message after 6 months from today (so Christmas Eve 2019 or later), I unfortunately don't expect that she's still alive. I hope that I'm wrong. If she's dead, it's from her own actions and decisions after receiving many opportunities to change but places like this aren't helping. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful and the food looks delicious, providing a well-balanced meal in a caring environment. The service is efficient, the environment feels safe, and the diners were as friendly as the staff. The environment is also clean and comfortable.
