The items that you will find at the Hope Chest will amaze you! The vast majority of the items that will shop are BRAND NEW. From new designer clothing to new designer home furnishings & furniture you will not be disappointed. The prices are reflected in the quality of the items that you will find at the Hope Chest. The used items that you will find are well above average in both quality and pricing (you DO get what you pay for at the HC).I enjoy stopping in and just taking a walk around the store, it is very clean laid out and tranquil.Do yourself a favor and stop in for a look see for yourself, you won't be disappointed unless you are expecting typical thrift store items and pricing. This is not the typical Goodwill, thrift store by any means.

Hope Chest. My new happy place! Terrific clothes (resale/new), home decorations, china and I've got my eye on a gorgeous bed. The prices are great, and of course, the cause is a good one. Thank you to the happy and helpful staff.

Great place to find quality used furniture at reasonable prices. They run sales occasionally (30% off one item etc.) and the inventory turns over quickly.

This store location is bigger than the st. paul sister store and they tend to have more in it obviously. So you do have to shop both locations---They get some really beautiful items in here from the people with all the money in the area because it supports breast cancer and people like to donate and help. Awesome furniture, books, decor, and clothing....my only problem is it is a big drive from the city area and there isn't much else around that location....

On weekends when I was a kid, my parents would load us up in the car and go garage sale shopping in Edina because rich folks' cast-offs were still pretty good. I got the same vibe at the Hope Chest, where you can find upscale used furniture, home accessories and ladies' clothing. Their inventory changes daily, so keep your fingers crossed when you walk through the door. The initial prices on merchandise are a little high, but it appears they aggressively mark things down to keep the inventory moving. I found a quality (although definitely worn) set of dining chairs for $45 apiece marked down from $125. This is a pleasant, airy location without the musty, granny-attic feeling of a lot of consignment places, and anything you purchase here benefits breast cancer research. It's a win-win.

They are the best place to donate and to shop for high quality, gently used furniture!

OVERPRICED!!! Wow. I've been wanting to stop by this place for awhile and finally found the time, but I was extremely disappointed. Most of the stuff here was either out of style, oversized gaudy furniture or in extremely terrible condition needing to be refinished. I saw the ugliest banged up end table for $59 and a table with about 100 ring marks on it. We can get that stuff for free on FB marketplace, OfferUp or any other selling app. They would have a lot more $ to donate if they lowered their prices, gained some repeat business and sold more pieces. Or they could refinish the banged up items like the current trend and make them worth the price. I was hoping this was a place I could shop at regularly but there's no way I'm paying that much for something I'd have to put time and $ into.

Used to be about a year ago....I really enjoyed browsing and shopping here. I would bring family from out of town because I was so impressed with their inventory and friendliness of the staff/volunteers. I have donated furniture and several other items, too. Over the past year the prices are higher than usual and the staff is not as friendly as they used to be. I don't think I will be frequenting this place anymore. I'd rather just make a monetary donation. Smile more often, ladies. It's for a great cause.

I also used to enjoy browsing at this store, but no longer. The owner and/or managers have, unfortunately, replaced all its original creativity and uniqueness in favor of almost exclusively over-priced, poor quality, big box furniture and clothing. It is simply no longer fun to shop here.
