Did Yelp fail at math when they were a kid? Because this place is great and they have a bunch of great reviews, yet Yelp has it tallied up to 3.9 stars. This place deserves aaaallllllll the stars! We stopped here today for a late lunch because breakfast for lunch - yes please! Turns out they have more than just breakfast. Well, they have savory things too. Interesting menu... I wanted to try one of everything, but alas I still have holiday gifts to buy.So I got a sweet thing and my dining compadre got a savory thing and it was the best of both worlds. Huge portions... everything's delish... left with leftovers for days.Oh and did I mention the coffee is good and they have cocktails too? I didn't, but they do.So all in all,While Christmas shoppingWe all love breakfast for lunchBig face-sized pancakes

After all of the hype I finally got here when some friends invited us to join them. To be bluntly honest, it was mediocre at best. The highlights were the bright and trendy atmosphere and the presentation of the food. Not the food itself as that is the reason for the 2-star rating. Everything looked beautiful, but the food was nothing special. We had four different dishes and no one was terribly excited. The menu is creative to a fault, and it really isn't a breakfast place, per se. German chocolate cake pancakes? No thanks. Carrot cake pancakes? No again. How about an omelette? Not on the menu in any simple way. An egg-white omelette option? Nope. Hope Breakfast Bar reminded us of a wanna-be upscale foo-foo dinner place with average portions beautifully presented that we should ooh and aah over. We just didn't.Service: Very goodFood: Could've been betterPortions: Average Coffee and tea served in Stanley pourers: over the top, irritating for tea drinkers having to unscrew the top, and at $4 for one tea bag, drastically overpriced. Coffee for $6 or $9, same comment. Sure, it's all you can drink, but who wants to drink that much coffee?Food prices: OverpricedEnough. You get it. None of us plan to return. For a real breakfast it's still Fat Nats, Keys, Cafe Astoria, Maria's Cafe, Eggy's, New Uptown Diner, Hazel's NE, or any of the Blue Plate restaurants.

Our family went to Hope Breakfast Bar while we were in town for a quick getaway. I love the clean, bright atmosphere and the staff was all friendly and welcoming. There are lots of unique food choices as well as some classics. I ordered the pork belly and biscuit which was so good, however I did wish for a side salad or a fresh bite with the super savory dish. My husband got the Hawaiian bowl which was also tasty but definitely more of a lunch dish. Bloody's were good and our kids enjoyed a super fun NA unicorn mimosa. Would love to come back to try some more of their dishes!

My two girlfriends and I came to Hope Breakfast Bar for a Mommy's Brunch! It did not disappoint. The restaurant is very cute inside, but VERY loud. So if you're sensitive to that, consider sitting outside!I had the Pimento Cheese Scramble. It was the perfect size and sooo good. Their coffees are not to be missed, lots of fun specialty ones. I'm currently pregnant or otherwise I would have tried one of their cocktails as well. I did try their Peach and Rose Punch (sans liquor) and it was so refreshing.Highly recommend!

Love this place for brunch, great food and drink options. Came here with family and had a fun time. Tried the mistletoe spritz holiday drink and the Hawaiian bowl. Both were amazing and would love to come back and try other items on the menu. Service was also fast and staff was helpful giving recommendations.

The tacos were okay. The pork was too fatty and they came cold and way overcooked. The place was really busy but we got seated in 10min. The matcha was lukewarm warm and to sweet. The server was nice and took our order pretty quickly.

We had been to the St. Paul location once but this was our first time at the Edina location. It is so cozy and well-designed inside. The restaurant was bright and the opened garage-style doors leading to the outdoor eating area were great. We had great service and phenomenal food. The photos speak for themselves!! My only complaints: - The water glasses were so small and we would have definitely appreciated a water pitcher being left at the table so we could pour refills. - We ordered coffee beverages and they did not arrive until we were halfway done with our meals. The server was regularly checking with the bar staff for the drinks so I know it wasn't due to a lack of service. This was a bummer, but they were delicious when they did arrive!

Great brunch spot located in Edina and in a large shopping center area to make parking easier. They have a huge inside area that is very vibrant and filled with lots of people on a Saturday. They have alcoholic drinks and a huge coffee bar area. I asked what the most popular latte is and they said the sea salt caramel and the pistachio cardamom so me and my brother got them both, they were both really good and a huge serving! I read reviews and looked around and everyone gets the breakfast sandwich which is an everything bagel, cream cheese, egg, bacon, and cheese with a side of hash downs and it's such a huge portion! My brother got the chicken biscuit, my sister in law got the Hope breakfast and the banana churro waffle. My nephew got the grinch pancakes which came with strawberries and perfect for the holidays! They share hopes and prayers where you can write on the table and hung in the back and they pray over it and share it. What a great message!

I've heard so many great things about Hope Breakfast Bar! Not just about their food but also about their mission to support communities. I appreciate whenever restaurants offer reservations. This location has a large dining area plus an outdoor seating option. Although the outdoor seating view is just the parking lot. Service was excellent. Very friendly front and back waiters. Clean, non-gender bathrooms too!Now for the food: we ordered the hot chicken and stuffing waffles and the avocado toast with poached egg. Both were excellent! The hot chicken was crispy, spicy, and had a drizzle of hot honey. The avocado toast came loaded with veggies, pickles, and a beautiful poached egg on the side. It was our first time visiting but will definitely not be our last!

I've loved every time I've gone to Hope Breakfast Bar in St Paul and West End, so I am thrilled to see another new location open up! The Edina location has great parking, the patio is super cute, and the interior is so well decorated and well lit. This time I ordered the pina colada French toast, which is a great vegan option! I love that it's made with coconut milk instead of regular milk. The location is new, but the servers were so friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back again soon!
