Great quality food, no frills, and affordable. Can be adventurous, or tried and true chicken and rice. Would definitely go again.

I have a deep appreciation for Asian cuisine, particularly Vietnamese dishes, so I made a stop at a vibrant food stall in Hmong Village Marketplace early Wednesday morning. I've been eager to check it out for quite some time, and I finally seized the chance. I decided to try the Hmong sausage and a stuffed chicken, wing along with sticky rice. There is a soy sauce based concoction that accompanies the dish--it's absolutely bursting with flavor and spices, truly a delightful experience that left me wanting more. The Hmong sausage was incredibly tasty, packed with rich flavors. The variety of intriguing dishes on display has definitely piqued my interest, and I can't wait to return and sample more culinary delights.

I was visiting Minneapolis for a work conference and my friend and I knew we had to try Hmong food while we were there. I'd definitely recommend this place in the food court at Hmongtown Marketplace.Their grilled chicken reminded me of the Thai version of gai yaang, but it skewed more savory than sweet. I LOVED the dipping sauce that came with it - it was like a spicy pepper vinegar loaded with MSG. Very addicting; you could pour that sauce over a used bandaid and it'd be decent. The owner of the store was a friendly Asian dad! I'd come back to try more of their grilled meats. Grilled meat and rice is what most people get here.

My first experience with Hmong/Hmoob cuisine. I'm glad that that experience was with Hmoob Kitchen.Hmoob Kitchen is located in the east building of the Hmongtown Marketplace in St. Paul, Minnesota. Don't be fooled by its humble stall, it packs a culinary punch.Hmoob Kitchen often ranks among some of the best Hmong food you can find in the Twin Cities. And I can confidently agree with them.Food ordered was their stuffed chicken wings & Hmong sausage w/ Hmong sticky rice. Both entrees came with a spicy sauce that doesn't compromise on heat at all. There were many times I had to take sips from my drink to wash out the spiciness. Stuffed chicken wings alone were enough to fill me up, but I made sure to finish everything on my plate. It was too good to waste.Prices aren't bad either. Expect anything from $5-15 for a single entree. Quantity and quality are not compromised at all at Hmoob Kitchen. It's a gem that deserves its consistent top rankings.5/5. Favorited in MSP Twin City metro area.

Excellent food! I have been wanting to try Hmoob/Hmong food for years, but moved away from the area. I am new to Hmoob style, but have eaten much Lao, Lue, Cambodian (southern and northern), and Thai food. Hmoob foods are lighter, less coconut milk, some sour elements, very sour pickled mustard greens, flavors that I want to describe to you in great detail but can't quite pinpoint. We chose this stall because it was the most sold out by dinnertime - and there's a reason. . The market does a lot of lunch business so if you want to have the whole menu available, go at lunch. The (sorry, I don't know the name) chicken wings that are deboned and stuffed with rice noodles and fried were amazing, another dish of cooked mustard greens and pork was incredible. A little bit sour, and flavors I can't quite describe, as I said. If you like any of the neighboring cuisines or are just open to new experiences, go. It's delicious.

The simply-titled "curry noodle" satisfies. sprigs of mint and basil adorn this fresh entree of milky red curry over slightly limp rice noodles. Served with a smile by the chef herself. Six-item menu on wall. This is simple and refreshing Hmong fare.
