I went to their Blaine location off of 125th & Central Ave. I heard about this store when I visited with my husband regarding selling old consoles. At the time, my husband just wanted to get rid of his old console and would be happy with any amount he made. The store has a wide selection of video games for a variety of consoles. But I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon alone with a mission: Magic the Gathering cards. I was looking for Innistrad bundle set (2021), which they did not have. The shopkeeper led me to a small section of the store and they have very limited trading card games available. They had the draft set booster for way over the market price. They had it listed for $139 when TCGPlayer has brand new, factory sealed for $78, and have median pricing ~$103. Maybe it was because I was passive or didn't do in-depth research prior, but I felt hostility from the shopkeeper - like he needed me to make a decision and buy something despite they said they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for or get out. They stood by me as I processed what I should do since they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for. I simply thanked them for their time and left.

Worst Video Game Store On Earth!I am not a picky person under any circumstances, but my experiencd here was SO AWFUL! I actually made this account because I was so angry that I had to review this place. I would never reccomend this store to any gamer. They ripped off my brother, who is just a kid. We attended their kiosk in the mall, so that my little brother could buy a game. He had worked super hard at chores to get this money, and he was really excited. He bought a game for his system, but it was meant for an older version. My brother asked if it would work, and the man said yes. Our family asked multiple times but he kept trying to convince us that it worked. My brother bought the game, but after applying it so his system it did not work. We later found out that this game would NEVER work for this system. THE PERSON WHO SOLD IT CLEARLY KNEW THIS! Afterwards we attempted to return the game at the actual store, and they said they wouldn't refund it. The guy even smirked. WHAT KIND OF PERSON RIPS OFF A CHILD?Not only does this store have no sense of ethics, but they have a low selection of items, much of their stuff is in bad condition, and the store isn't very clean or nice. All the games they have are overpriced. Please consider putting your money into another store. You won't regret it. Their name should really be "LOW SCORE VIDEO GAMES".

Came in today to trade out some games. The trade outs were a really really good deal, and I'm very pleased. Much better trade prices than gamespot! The man I traded with was very nice. I didn't stay to look at what they sold, but prices seemed good from what I happened to glance at. If I'm in need of any new games I'll definitely be back to this place!

I stopped in to buy a game for Switch. Price was marked $55, but the staff gave it to me for $50 without my asking. Sweet! So much packed in this place! Really fun to just go look around if nothing else. Great place with kind staff!

You're better off going to ebay. They will come down a little in price but their discounted price doesn't beat an eBay buy it now listing. They have a good selection and most of their games are priced except the popular ones because they want to see what they can sell it to you for. I was searching for Super Mario World for SNES and the Donkey Kong games. I tried to get them to match the buy it now price of 25 a game but they wouldn't. So just purchased the games on ebay while I was browsing their store. They have good knowledge but knowledge is never worth that much (when speaking about retro games)Hope my review saved you some money. It's the difference of buying 3 games from Hi-Score compared to 5 games through other buying options.

It's a gaming store. They staff was helpful and they had a pretty good selection of items. Parking is adequate. I happened on in on a rainy weekend day so I don't know how much that affected business. There are some other gaming stores that are closer or even online, but if I am in the area then it'd be a place I would consider stopping in. Target is close as well as Taco John's, Liquor store, and a creamery.

Got harassed by the manager at the St. Cloud location for legally carrying my self-defense firearm in the mall when the mall is not following the legal requirements set out by the State of Minnesota. Will NEVER shop here again.

Awesome place for retro console games and equipment as well as some new stuff. All of the employees are super nice and you'll find what you need in no time. Would totally recommend this place whether you're shopping for yourself or others! P.S. it's called 1UP Video Games now.
