I just stumbled in here after visiting the farmers market and was so glad I did. I made my mom a fairy garden and it is the perfect Mother's Day gift!! The associate working was so helpful and it was so fun and therapeutic to paint and be creative. I will absolutely be recommending to my friends!

My wife and I stopped in a few weeks ago while in the neighborhood and immediately knew we had to bring our creative daughter back with us. This place is amazing. They have tons of different projects you can purchase and do in store as well as tons of cool toys to bring home. Basically you buy the canvas, whether it's a bird house, a bow and arrow, a fairy house, or some other cool wooden thing, then Heartfelt provides the space and all of the supplies you need to decorate it. They have markers, paints, tools, glue, fabric, tons of natural elements (leaves, twigs, rocks, etc), feathers, string, and so much more all available to use at no extra cost. They also sell tons of different small accessories if you want them, but you could spend days there without getting any and have tons of fun with what's included. My wife took our daughter yesterday to build a fairy house and they ended up staying for 6 hours. She was so in her element she didn't even stop to eat lunch. She was glowing the entire day. The staff were also super helpful, kind, and great at helping her while also casually teaching her things in a fun way (like what diameter means while trying to decide what size tree to build). If you don't finish you can either leave your project there and come back a different day, or take it home and bring it back when you're ready to keep working (at no additional cost). This was especially nice for our family because our daughter is super creative and loves art but my wife and I don't. We don't love messes and aren't great at facilitating her gifts at home beyond coloring and small crafts. To find a place to bring her that has everything she could dream of, that will help clean up after us, that we don't have to plan and gather all the elements, that we can just sit and enjoy with her, was amazing. This was such a wonderful find for us.

Our first trip Heartfelt was so much fun!! We came in late on a Friday, they had about 30mins to close, but the woman helping us was super sweet and the boys got to make a cute bird house (the 5yr. old painted and glued) and a fish(the 2yr. old painted it). Prices are fair and in a great rang. They offer classes for the older kids and the studio space is super kid friendly, they even have a large tree that waiting kids can play in. The 2yr. played in the tree while the 5yr. old finished his bird house. :) We are going back today, because the 5yr. old I watch has been asking almost everyday to go back. :)

No need to pick up another Ninja Turtle or Bratz Doll (hmm, what ARE the kids playing with these days?) for your kids, nephews, nieces and babyfriends on their birthdays. Bring them here. Do crafts.I don't have kids of my own, but stopped in yesterday to see what this place was all about. I was pretty impressed with the high quality, natural toys and the menu of hands-on craft activities. I would've loved this kind of thing as a kid: making birdhouses, things out of felt, playing with a wooden menagerie of animals, throwing glitter on everything (including my friends), etc.As someone who isn't very crafty as an adult, I find this kind of space and resource to be inviting because it means you don't have to clean up the messy wake of a child's artistry. Just dust the glitter out of their hair and head home to your clean-ish dining room table.

We came in hoping to do a craft. The lone employee ignored us while sitting in the middle of the store eating, and browsing on her phone. Ignored other customers as well. We were surprised that a probably 40 year old did not have any professionalism.

I love this store and the staff at Heartfelt. My own children are grown but I love to share natural crafts with my Sunday school classes. Lisa and the staff always give me great ideas and coaching.

My 2yo nephew and I did a craft activity with these folks at the Linden Hills Farmers Market. The materials were great, simple easy to work with and child friendly. The space was also nice kid sized and well organized. The woman running the activity was good with the kids who asked for help and not pushy. However she was somewhat cool and aloof (even a bit rude) to the adults. My nephew is a little slow to warm up to new situations so I had him sit on my lap and gently coaxed him while I worked on the craft. I then offered him chance to try one on his own and she interrupted and said that there was only one set of materials per child. I asked with a smile if she would consider me a child and she just shrugged. I then offered to pay for one set of materials and she shrugged again. I understand about limited materials and about keeping within the rules and parameters one sets. I'm a teacher and used to run a story hour at my local bookstore. I do think that a smile and some positivity go a long way towards making the enforcement of such norms a better experience.

This is a very unique, darling little store for kids of all ages. There are gorgeous, nature-inspired gifts, toys, books and crafts on offer. Truly an inspirational space.I've done two craft sessions there with my son who, at 2, is on the young side for crafting. However, I was more than happy to do the bulk of the crafting myself while he played in the treehouse! The one downside is that it's not cheap... $15 to make three tiny acorns out of acorn caps and wet-felted wool is not exactly a bargain and it would be far cheaper to make these yourself. But it's nice to support a local business and get new crafting ideas we can attempt at home. I wish they'd offer a membership plan of some sort (similar to I Heart Kids Art down the street) to add a little value for stay-at-home parents like myself who are looking for regular winter activities.

Just returned from making fairy houses with my three- and six-year-old. Heartfelt's owner and staff helped us decorate wood bird houses with bright colors, moss, sea glass, shells, pinecones, and other natural materials, and, of course, glitter. Kids (and adults) can choose from many craft projects: felt wreaths, wooden peg dolls, felted wool animals, wood block menorahs, beeswax rolled candles, milkweed pod babies, and more. Heartfelt provides all the high-quality materials needed, artsy and patient staff who really want to teach others how to make things from items found in nature, plus a cozy space where kids can be messy in their creativity. We were there for about two hours. When the kids weren't working on their fairy houses -- I should have encouraged them to choose slightly easier projects -- they were climbing inside the big tree that takes up one corner of the shop, playing with wooden fairy dolls, examining the bins of marbles, and marveling over the fairy wings, wands and doll clothes for sale. I'm always looking for things to do with my kids -- especially in the winter when we can't always just go outside. So I was very excited to find out that Heartfelt offers drop in craft classes for people of all ages anytime the store is open. Check out some craft options and prices here: http://www.heartfeltonline.com/crafts.
