Haskell's - Saint Paul

The other reviews on here did give me pause, but I'm glad that they didn't dissuade me. First off, it's not an all encompassing spot and there will likely be items you can't find. But, I've been able to grab a few scotch bottles that I've had trouble locating in the Twin Cities. And to me that is worth its weight in gold. Will definitely be back.

St Paul locals suggested we check out this place for wine and spirits. We did and it turned out to be a good find for us. Super excellent wine selections from all over the world. They also have a locked closet devoted to their high end wine and champagne selections. Someone has very refined tastes.Beer selection is underwhelming but touches all the bases. We actually came for spirits. Although their supply is limited, the array of choices was deep. The more I looked the more I appreciated what they were trying to do. We left with a hard to find, for us in Ohio, Angels Envy, a Woodford Reserve that was on sale, and a couple other things to fill out our half-case.Excellent customer service. Excellent Covid procedures. Thanks for both.

Just wanted to spread positive vibes to this local liquor shop in my area. I've always felt comfortable shopping there and attended to when I had questions. Their clerks are friendly and I appreciate their diversity of staff. I don't feel condescended to when they interact with me as I've experienced elsewhere. They have wider selections for all kinds of booze and - much better deals hands down - way lower prices than their competitors nearby. I regret when I do not make it to Haskell's and end up going elsewhere to grab something last minute. Plus, they have an amazing meat/ cheese/cracker selection. Super convenient for dinner parties! Look forward to being more of a regular at Haskell's. Highly recommend.

The staff is very rude & unaccommodating.I hadn't been in there for years and I will never return again. Good luck. Let's see how much longer you'll stay in bussiness with your horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service. I have never had a good experience with the people working here. I live in the neighborhood and have been approached twice by an older man who works there that acted annoyed when I didn't want his help. Today after I said "no thanks" he told me that I should "take his advice so that I know how to drink good wine someday" and then walked away. Very rude and condescending. I am in my 40s and lived near wine country for many years. While not a sommelier, I know my wine. Even though I live nearby, I won't be back.

I used to come here often it was fine until my partner was racially profiled.. followed around the entire store. a woman working was pretending to be working on something on the next shelf, and kept looking over her shoulder. Getting to check out the cashier approved the id then another worker came over to "double check" for some reason. absolutely insane, and I'm very disappointed in the way multiple workers were acting and treating my partner.

Haskell's does not care about customers or customer service. They do not reply to emails or return phone calls. I have left several messages in the past few days and still await a resolution to my issue. Purchased one of the promotions from a TV program and got home with it and two of the bottles of the wine were not what was in the promotion. I was informed by the store where it was purchased that they ran out but YET, it still shows in the inventory in several of their stores. I should have checked the box before leaving the store but trusted them enough to sell what they advertise. I wasalso told that it was posted that substitutions will be made and that is NOT true. I will not frequent this store again other than to return a purchase that was not as advertised and no effort was made by Haskell's to make it right. There are better places to shop for wine and spirits out there.

Big selection- and they have cheese and things which I know a lot of other wine shops are not allowed to have? Maybe since it's in Saint Paul it's ok? Idk but it's a nice spot, lots of parking.
