I prefer a liquor store that isn't too easy to navigate around in. Some are so bleached and boring, but this place is both big and a bit unconventional. And the make your own 6 pack selection had some real winners in it.

Great wine and beer store!Stopped in here to select a six pack each of a Northwoods Pale Ale and IPA. I ended up finding one from a Wisconsin brewery, and one from a Minnesota brewery.Lots of selection! They have an even larger selection of un-chilled brews.Good service, quick check out!

Wow. What a great experience. My wife and I went there to pick up a few things before the holiday on a recommendation from a local. I am so glad we took it.Size wise it isn't as large as some of the newer liquor super stores. The selection seemed huge. I headed over to the beer coolers and my wife headed to the wines.I was looking for a specific brand and found it - problem was there are about 10 different flavors to choose from! Luckily there was a very nice, patient gentleman in the cooler stocking it. He took the time to describe all the different flavors and how popular they were. I was impressed with the amount of detail. When I mentioned another beer he said it was out on the warm shelf. There I got to meet him and thank him in person. We headed over and chatted about this new choice. After a lot of learning on my part i left with 2 4 packs of different flavors.I then found my wife talking to another gentleman about wines. She had found a brand she liked in MN before and was looking for it. Since they didn't the exact brand the guy patiently explained other wines from the regions. Again using examples, sales, and personal experience to help my wife make an informed decision. Needless to say after the wine being served for dinner she regretted not buying more. We will be heading back to that store before we leave the state!I highly recommend this store for the support and passion behind the spirits.

Being fans of some Spanish wines, we made a special trip out here for their "Spanish Armada" wine tasting this past Saturday, the last day of their wine sale. They were to be sampling Spanish wines from 1-6pm.We arrived shortly after 1pm. They were not yet set up. Several minutes later, they opened two bottles of Spanish wines, one white and one red. They had not pre-chilled the white wine (an Albarino, which requires a chill to taste good), but only set it out in a bucket of ice water to begin chilling it. Had we been wanting to stick around for a while, we could have tasted their chilled white wine."Spanish Armada"?I think "Spanish Duo" would have been more fitting.Disappointing.

I love this Haskell's! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I mentioned in passing liking a particular wine and before I even realized what was happening they ordered some! Just because I mentioned it! Amazing!

Haskells always has a huge selection of alcoholic beverages (mostly wine at this location), but the 2 guys working here were very knowledgeable and helpful. Granted they don't have as many beers as I hoped, it is a fairly small store. It also surprised my buddy that there were a few beers there (of fairly low quality however) that you could get for less than $20.

After a romp in St, Paul pubs I had to find the locally brewed Surlys. Not only did Haskells carry this niche beer but it was on special! Big thanks to the manager who helped me find it and gave me tips on how to store this craft beer on my trek back to Illinois

I do not drink alcohol, but I do like bloody beer with non-alcoholic beer and bloody mary mix in the summer. I was going to Lunds so I stopped in at Haskells - right next door - for non-alcoholic beer. They had three brands to choose from. Three. I also needed to pick up some bloody mary mix - not much to choose from, maybe three brands again. Disappointed that a liquor store had such abysmal selection. Went to Lunds and paid the same amount for O'Douls and they had a better selection of bloody mary mix. Skip Haskells, go to Lunds.
