Harvest Moon is a small cooperative grocery store/market in Long Lake that provides what the area has needed for a long time, a place to get groceries without having to drive 10-15 minutes to a neighboring town. Harvest Moon offers "wholesome and organic foods and products - many from local producers - as well as all the things you count on from your grocery: a meat department, deli, take-out pre-prepared meals, even a coffee bar." I have visited this location a few times since its opening in September of 2010 and have always enjoyed my experiences. They have a pretty wide selection of local, organic, healthy, etc food in addition to delicious take-out or dine-in options. The bakery is awesome, as is the deli and the coffee. Its about time Long Lake had a place to get something good, and HEALTHY to eat.

Harvest Moon is smaller version of Trader Joe's / Wholefoods. It's a cooperative and they have lots of tasty organic stuff, produce, and stuff you might not find anywhere else. Their prices are also cheaper what you would find at Wholefoods. It's not far from Wayzata or Medina and a welcome addition to the community. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and need some fruit or healthy food.

This is a small, local Co-op that has limited SKUs but does a nice job. It is a great solution to pick up a few items without having to head over to Lakewinds, Wholefoods or heaven forbid Lunds/Byerlys. You won't get your whole shopping list done but they do have a nice simple selection.

I stopped here for snacks and I fell in love with the atmosphere. It is small, not over stocked and just perfect for items you cannot find at a grocery store. I do not live in the area, but will forsure stop by when I am around again. I grabbed chili from the hot bar, which was delicious. I loved the option to hang out and eat without wasting anything, they have reusable plates and silverware to use. They have Wifi and a seating area. The staff are very personable, I enjoyed my short time thoroughly.

I love this little store. The selection is limited but its charm makes up for it. The produce is fresh, usually local, and accessible. The deli is a nice option, as well.

There is just so much to love about this place it's hard to begin. I love shopping there. The simplicity, the selection. Just enough and not too much. Keep it simple. The cafe area is SO lovely too. The food is truly lovely, simple, DELICIOUS. I mean if I lived closer, I would eat there every day. It's just that good. The cooks make this unbelievable fruit crumble that I can barely bring myself to pass up when I walk by the food bar. The croissants and turnovers, well, you have to experience them first hand. They are dynamite. Same with the salad bar. These people put a lot of effort into having healthy delicious food items readily available for people on the go. My one and only issue with Harvest Moon has to do with the coffee shop/cafe area. On occasion I will come in to read, study or work and usually spend about $40 on groceries while I'm there, plus a drink and a snack. However, the last few times I've been in, there is one employee (and it's the same one every time) who comes in to 'meet' with one of the other employees or a distributor or someone and she talks so loud it is extremely disruptive to anyone trying to read, work or study. I mean loud. She just doesn't understand how loud she is. If it were a customer, I would probably just don the headphones and be done with it. However, this is an employee. In a customer service industry. I'm sure it's not intentional. Some people just don't know how loud they sound, but If I could make one request to this employee, it would be to just develop an awareness of the people around you and how loud you are in comparison. I mean no disrespect here. I love the work you do and the way you do it and the offerings you work hard to bring to this area. But could you please notice the noise level around you when you sit down to chat? And if you just can't adjust your own volume to match, maybe you should meet in an office area. ?? My sincerest thanks to the people at Harvest Moon for providing healthy food and local organic selections. You people make my day every time I come in.

Its just ok. For me the produce is very poor. Have had to return many items due to poor quality. Prices are also high.
