Hagberg's Country Market

We're so glad we found hagbergs! The quality of the meat is absolutely fantastic. We particularly love their brisket burgers and cuts of steak. Hagbergs also has a nice deli counter with sandwiches, making it a good place to stop for lunch. Definitely worth a trip.

Love this cute and quaint market/country store in the heart of Lake Elmo. We normally go to Hagbergs to get a sandwich, chips, and drink and eat lunch there. They always have very unique items such as unique chips, candy and drinks! This trip I got clearly Canadian...where would you be able to find that drink? No where else. They also have gluten free bread which makes me a happy gal. Today I got a Rueben on gfree bread...delish! Don't walk but run to this local favorite in town!

How did it take us so long to find this place?? Wonderful selection of house-made items, the butcher shop is extensive and truly amazing, the deli is full of wonderful surprises. And *drumroll* they even have my husband's FAVORITE Bridgeman's black licorice ice cream.Can't want to come back again!

Are you looking for an impressive hunk of meat? They have a HUGE slab of beef on bone that looks like something Wilma would have prepared for Fred. I made the little drive out here because I prefer to buy local meat and directly from a meat counter vs. the grocery store. I find the prices are as expected and the quality and freshness is superior. I got some delicious frozen chicken breast marinated in door county cherries and they cooked up great. The texture was not compromised like marinated meats sometimes are. It was a cute market. You cannot go wrong if you are putting together a nice family dinner or just want decent meat.

Awesome. Been going there for years. Very good Jalapeno cheddar beef sticks and love the turkey jerky. Fantastic sandwiches, especially the porketta sandwich. So good. For the first time, I decided to get their pork chop on a stick from the deli. Holy balls that was good!! The cashier told me I should grab some napkins. She wasn't kidding. Incredibly juicy, wonderfully seasoned with a nice smokiness and super tender. They rank up there as one of the best pork chops I have ever had. They only offer these on Tuesdays. Only $3.50. Worth that all day long. I'd say they're somewhere around 5 to 6 oz. So good I got another. Deli girl says they sell out every Tuesday.

Our favorite place to get meat! My husband also on occasion gets lunch specials for lunch at work. Awesome jalapeño beef sticks if you need something to snack on. On holidays and now during quarantine we are treating ourselves to their filets which always turn out amazing!

We always get proteins to grill, the cucumber salad & potato salad! And of course, they have Clearly Canadian waters!

One of the best butcher shops around. I think this and Von Hanson's are top in the metro area.

It is amazing that this only gets a single "$" after what was my first time there and also my last. Reason: Went to get about a pount of tenderloin, so I am thinking about $16/lb. Ah, wrong! More like $33/lb, at which point I decided to travel a little further and get it from another place that I've been to before.

I picked up two NY Strips for dinner today and we were both so disappointed! Very tough and most of all tasteless even though they were prepped and cooked perfectly and let them rest after cooking. We have had better steaks from Walmart!
