Grubers Quilt Shop

Huge selections and helpful staff. I had my doubts about how big the store is from their signs, having been in a ton of quilting and crafting stores, but it was impressive! They have their own fabric and panel designed and printed... 2018 was a loon and lady slippers theme and it was gorgeous. They have a wide selection of quilting fabrics, on of the biggest wool selections I've seen anywhere, with kits and patterns and fabrics... and a huge yarn room with tons of malabrigo yarn. I couldn't discern a specific specialty (smaller stores often have much more of one style of fabric)... they had sections with civil war patterns, flannels, kids' themes, batiks, modern and brights, bold modern florals, etc. And a huge courtyard area if you come in with a non_quilter.

This was a nice quilt and yarn shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of kits, Patterns, notions. Got a copy of Pam Goecke new book autographed! If I'm back in St. Cloud I would definitely one back.

Such a fantastic shop... everything a quilter needs, well organized and displayed so things are easy to find or browse. Prices and sales are great. I will definitely be back many times. I found much inspiration for current and future projects.

Great staff and a very nice selection of fabrics and notions to fill all a person could need.

This shop has a very wide selection. But every time I've looked for a pattern (of something on the wall that says they sell the pattern) they said they were out. They would very helpfully offer to order it for me, but I'm just driving through.Helpful staff :)

Mecca of fabric shopping for a quilter! They even carry my favorite fabric designer, Kaffe Fassett, which is very hard to find in quilt shops. Large selection of reduced fabrics, quilting tools, threads, room with yarn (didn't peruse that area). Unlike the other reviewer the service I received was welcoming. They do leave you alone as you shop (which I like) but are more than willing to step in and answer questions and help you when needed. And they are open on Sunday! Woohoo! Just wish I lived closer than 200 miles.

Let me preface the review with the fact that I am a knitter not a quilter. Perhaps had I looked at material my experience would have been different. Past the hello no one spoke with me. I normally will not purchase in a case like this but they did have a color way in a yarn I fell I love with. Lack luster service at the counter and they did not thank me. All that said, there was a pretty good selection of yarns and quite a few samples.
