GrandStay Residential Suites Hotel Faribault

Fantastic hotel with spacious rooms and great pool! Staying in the area for work and knowing that I was going to be in the area for 6 days and 5 nights I wanted something a little larger than a king size bed and a mini fridge so I searched for something not too far from my meetings and found this hotel. The property is clean, really well maintained and it was so fantastic to have a separate room to relax and a full fridge and 2 burner stove to prepare something instead of eating out every meal.Best part was that the rates were comparable to the bleh hotel I normally am stuck at (not in Faribault) and I really wish that they had a larger chain and I could stay at more of their hotels when I am traveling.

We have stayed at the Grandstay in the past and the hotel is Great however recently I have attempted several times to contact the manager so I can block rooms for our upcoming wedding and I still have yet to hear from the manager. I have emailed, left several messages with staff who take my name and #, then last night I was advised the manager WOULD be in at 7am and they would make sure to give her my message. I called at 7:30am to find out only 1 manager is able to do anything with booking more than 2 rooms AND she would not be in until later and only in for a couple hours today. Unfortunately I have meetings all day but we will see if she reaches out. This is truly poor business and I understand how "busy" businesses can be but it's now been a MONTH since my first attempt to contact the manager. Very poor customer service!Update: the manager has reached out to me and was able to answer my questions and assist. I am now updating the review as we have been very pleased other than this one situation but they reached out and we are happy.

EXCELLENT HOTEL FOR FAMILIES!My family and I stayed two nights here and have nothing but great things to say about it. We found it via Priceline, and got a great deal. We were very excited to find that we had a king suite with a full kitchen (VERY VERY helpful) Nice big flat screen tvs both in the living room and bedroom. Complimentary breakfast was decent with eggs, biscuits and grave, assorted cereals, breads, and pastries. And my little one was stoked that they had a large selection of tea. :)Traveling with two kids, hotels get really boring, but my boys had plenty to do here. They have a basketball court and a playground complete with swings and a rock climbing wall. They also have a small game room, a full size pool and a kiddie wading pool.

Nice property with pool and small exercise room. Suites are large with good sized kitchenettes. Looks a little dated, but I don't really care about that and everything is very well maintained. Very friendly staff as well.

Stayed here from mid October until May while working on a project. Staff made us feel like family and we fell in love with area and purchased a home here. This is a newer, very clean hotel with great breakfast choices, nice pool and hot tub. Free WI-FI worked great, bed was awesome, so comfortable.Recommend 3rd floor for extended stay.

We got a FANTASTIC deal on this Hotel through Orbitz. Even though the Front Desk said this Hotel was 6 years young.... You would never know it. Inviting Lobby Area....Clean Rooms. Full Kitchen. Free Breakfast(we didn't eat any while here... Got up too late), 2 room suite. Flat Screen TV's.... FRIENDLY HELPFUL EMPLOYEES. Great location as we went to Mall Of America before my visit to Mayo Clinic... About 45 mins to an hour.... Will stay here again for sure. Lots of perks at a low price.

Hotel has really rolled down the hills the last 3 months. The woman at the desk with a bob cut had an atrocious attitude toward any question you asked. She seemed to be a know it all, or too good to serve the guests. The scent of cigarettes rolled off her tongue and stuck to her clothes making my nose itch. Was quite strong. The best thing I can say about this hotel is the housekeeping staff consistently do a good job, with the occasional forgetting to stock an item(s).

We stayed there a week.The staff was great!Hotel was clean and well kept.If we want something extra, like towels we left a note for house keeping and we had it.Hotel was peaceful and the beds and pillows comfortable.

Check in was seamless however once we got into our room it was only 46 degrees in the room-we turned heat up to 68 and went to dinner. We came back a couple hours later and it was 52 in the room, the thermostat battery was low so we tried to call the front desk-phone didn't work in main room! When we did connect with the front desk we were told, "at least we know it working and I'll bring you a battery when I can"...needless to stay we checked out and never got a battery to keep the heat running in the room! The breakfast was awful!!! Bedding, bathroom and whirlpool tub where dirty!

Just stayed with my wife at Grandstay for 7 nights while attending reunions at Shattuck. Grandstay is an excellent upgrade in hotels in this town. Friendly and responsive staff. Good breakfast. Good coffee (very important). Excellent rooms and good pool facility.
