I checked in, I was having a tough time at home. I am disabled as well. The night manager was SO kind. I requested to stay 1-2 nights. I wasn't sure, She reassured me if needed, the room would be available. I got 1 night of peace. The morning manager was clear I wasn't welcome, not even for a late check out so back to my abuse I went.

It was fine. Room wasn't the cleanest tho. Breakfast was okay for free. Workers didn't seem very friendly at all! Overall if in the area we'd stay again.

This hotel is a standard hotel. No bells. No whistles. Which is fine for what we needed it for during my visit in January. We needed beds, a pool (per our gymnasts' request) and some sort of breakfast option. We were in town for an invitational gymnastics meet and were traveling with 12 teenage girls. The girls acted the exact way we thought they would, like teenagers, and none of them had any complaints about the hotel which was good. They had a great time swimming, they had the pool mostly to themselves, and slept fine.Me, as the coach on the other hand, felt differently. Check-in was tough, something about our information not being entered correctly which ended up also being an issue during a time sensitive check-out. It got sorted, but it wasn't a breeze. Then, after going to and coming back from dinner, there must have been a changing of the guard. There was a new front desk worker and a random man, not in a hotel branded uniform, hanging out at the front desk who throughout the night would say things like, "Yeah, no running" when no one was running.. or "That's what I thought." His dialect made no sense for the circumstance and made me concerned that he was drunk or high, but it didn't bother the front desk worker, so I assumed they were friends. His presence around my gymnasts has me concerned for their safety. Then, later a group of middle-aged women came back from the bars slurring words and cussing loudly and yelling at each other in the hall. I called down to the front desk as it was after 11pm and I wanted to start settling into sleep before a full day of competition the next day and they said they would check it out but the noise continued for over an hour. I didn't end up getting enough sleep that night. Not a great experience.

Sorry in advance yelp.com page doesn't seem to layout correctly on a galaxy s9. I cant see what im writing. But I want to say how this manager treated my family. My family and I are homeless and we got into New pathway program and this is the hotel they have been using because churches couldn't house due to Corona virus. Well we got there, the following day went by and we had kept to ourselves in the 2 bed room the 5 of us. The next day we get a call from our case manager from New pathways telling us that we had taken too much food apparently and we couldn't do this. I was confused so I called back and questioned what happened. The manager had told her our family cleared out the breakfast area. 9 milks all the breakfast bars all pastry most sandwiches eat something like that i still have the text from her. Ibsaid no no way i didn't even go down there I said at first, and the i said wait and I asked our 15 year old son and he said he went down.my girlfriend said what? And I asked him what he grabbed. He grabbed 2 milks 2 cereals 2 pastry and 2 of something else it was 4 items basically for a family of 5. He had grabbed for my daughters when he went down. I told her this and she believed me. I said I'd speak with the manager. Ibdid. And she said your family was the only family I seen. I was nice and trying to asure her and she was very rude and unprofessional. She eventually blew me off and just said yeah. Yeah ok OK just to get me to go away. We stayed still for another couple weeks and any interactio. She was just rude unprofessional and it didn't matter how nice I was. So there came a day when my family had to switch hotels because the hotel was booked for a night. We had to pack up everything we owned that morning and pile it into my pickup truck. We were in a hurry and ill admit we left the floor a mess there was popcorn from my girls all over the floor from the night before. I wanted to vacuum we just didn't have the time and my girlfriend thought it would be fine. So we left. Come back 2 days later. Manager again at the desk was as usual. We did have to wait for 2 hours for the room. We get into a new room this time and sometime that day we get a call my girlfriend did about the room we had stayed in prior to this one, and that we couldn't stay at this hotel anymore. Apparently this hotel manager said we left a huge mes and the cleaners had to take 2 hours to clean it oh sorry I forgot we spilled a can of orange soda on the sheet cause we ate on the beds rather than the floor. Honest mistake. OK floor sheets and something odd. She said we damaged up the wall. We asked what?? And asked for pictures of what the heck she was talking about. In the corner of the room in between a bed and a wall a foot and a half away from each other in the back end where nobody really can get at there was like chips? In the paint or marks like that? And it was a little noticeable. I nor my girlfriend didn't know anything about it. See I have mental issues so I dont go out of the room or in public much. I layer on the bed and on the side of the bed right where this picture of the damage that we supposedly did was. I had a laptop bag on the floor in between but at the end of the bed not by the wall. My kids never played or had a reason to ay in the corner because there was nothing there. There's no way we could have done it. Or least we didn't know how it was possible. We were to be out the next morning And our case manager was jusr going to let it go like that and put us on the street without figuring something out. At first anyways and thats a whole nother complaint. But ok this manager either made this all up and damaged the wall herself just to put us out like that or snapped a picture of another rooma wall. And for us to be let back for one night then all the sudden we did this so called damage to our old room? This woman was out to get my family ever since she accused our family wrongly of stealing a whole bunch of food. I have never been treated like that. Her staff were very polite and professional. Her she was just not right and all too rude and unprofessional any communication we had. I wish i knew what I could do to make sure she doesn't treat another family like mine like that or falsely accyse of of damage we didn't do just to put us out. She should be fired but she's the manager and I havent a clue how to reach her i dont have a clue how to reach her owner or supervisor. Id like to leave an email on here for that supervisor but I dont want this review to be taken down for personal info. We got charger 160? I think it was for chips of paine in the wall and the cleaning. Oh, rather than clean the sheet they threw the pad and sheet away and charged us. I would've taken that since we had to pay for it it would've come clean. I just think this woman deserve to be reprimanded. Good staff, kinda musky smell. Pool which was fun. Nightmare hotel manager.

Without getting into all the details, our room was so bad at 1am we asked to be moved to another room. When we got to the new room and turned down the bed we found nasty, wrinkled sheets that looked like they had already been slept in. We ended up having to find another hotel in the middle of the night. When we contacted the manager the next morning she said she checked both rooms and they were fine. If that is their standard it reenforces my decision to never stay there again.

We stayed here in August on the way to Lutsen from southeastern Minnesota, not realizing it was 20 miles off I-35, but it was well worth the drive, as we got out of the hustle and bustle of the campers and boats and motorcycles traveling to the North Shore. The town of Cambridge was a welcome relief from the hubbub and, like the Grand Stay in Luverne, was clean and quiet with friendly and helpful staff and nice decor. We got a great night's sleep in our comfy room and will stay here again next time we go up North.

We were relocating for my husbands job and our furniture was delayed being shipped from out of state. Upon entering the room your slapped with the staunch of sweat and regret. Having two young children I immediately told my husband I refused to bring the kids to sleep there for a few nights. We dropped off a few bags and left, only returning to swiftly pick up our stuff although we paid for three nights. I could not subject my kids, one a toddler, to such a filthy space- dark, damp, smelled of sweat, and the furniture just looked grimy. Having no other options very close, it might be a tough choice for you, but I would highly suggest trying to stay elsewhere. Couldn't bare 10 minutes in the room, that should tell you something.

This was such a nice place to stay. Very clean very comfortable . The staff were very professional and very nice. We travel a lot and are very picky where we stay. The breakfast was the best from any Hotel we have stayed . I recommend this hotel to anyone in this area that is looking for a place to stay.

Our family stayed here for five days and had a good experience. The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The free hot breakfast was better than expected. The staff was friendly and accommodating. If we are back in the area we'll stay here again.
