GrandStay Hotel & Suites Becker - Big Lake

Great price. I found the room clean and in good working order. Very friendly staff and a pretty decent breakfast in the e morning. Traveled all day from Indiana and was very happy with stay.

Jennifer at the front desk was so kind and accommodating to all! Witnessed her handle a difficult situation and she was professional and handled the situation appropriately.

To start with rooms are old and need to be redone. Furniture scratched and wore. Also get a room with an even number or you will be on the side with the 20 plus freight trsins at all hoirs of the day and night. Met about 4 of staff ghat are friendly. Girl who does kitchen is only person who does job and cares. I fell first day because of no slip protection and was hurt. No one cares, "We sent it to our office". Also 13 days without houskeeping entering room. They said I had to ask, I said I did. Their are other reasons I could give but the decisision is yours.

My family and I have been staying here while the housing market has been so crazy, and this has definitely become a home away from home. The staff is so nice and always willing to do everything they can to make each guest feel comfortable, heard with any concerns, and friendly. Over the past couple months I watched this place completely turn around from being owner tan and operated... to a managing company come in and completely turn it around back to the GrandStay name we all know and love!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING IT A SECOND CHANCE if your first stay wasn't the greatest. Thank you so much for making us and our fur babies feel so welcomed :)

Great hotel for everyone The pool is great rooms are really clean everyone is every friendly and caring.

I was certainly expecting better from the Grandstay name I have grown to know and love. Don't be fooled by the name, this is by GrandStay, not a Grandstay. The beds are horrible; you sink a good six inches when you sit or lay on them. The shower head was just about falling out of the wall. It also had a weird smell. It wasn't all bad though. It looked nice, was clean, and quiet. So overall, not what I was expecting, but for the price, not horrible.Update: we just realized that you can just walk in our room; our door wasn't locking. I pulled on it as hard as I could to shut it, and still doesn't lock. When I let the front desk know about this, they said "yeah, sometimes you have to pull on that one to get it to latch". If you had a door that wasn't locking, why would you put someone in that room?! Also, it didn't latch, even when I pulled really hard on it. Guess this hotel isn't worried about safety or security. Disappointing and concerning.

We were booked in a handicap room because my boyfriend is in wheelchair. The door swing only allowed for him to get into the bathroom by going into the hall then turning around to enter. But that wasn't the worst. While we were at a reunion, we were notified of a dog barking in our room. Since we do not own a dog, we assumed it was an error.Upon returning, we found a dog bowl in our room, urine on the floor and the smell of dog. When I went to the front desk, I was told that they had a dog running lose in the hotel and the staff must have put the dog in our room in error - that does NOT explain the dog dish. The staff are the only ones who could have entered our room. I was told that the manager is the only one who could make any adjustment, but she is on vacation. I have emailed her and still have not received a response.

We do not recommend this hotel for more than a one night stay. We were visiting family in Becker so booked just under a week and regretted it. The bed was very low, and the mattress was old we could feel the springs. The first night the sheet kept coming off the mattress, we needed to request new sheets since cleaning service isn't done every day.The linens were not as clean (not as white) as other hotels we've stayed at. The carpet in our room was stained and smelled. We bought a plug in air freshener and that didn't help.While the staff is friendly, the couple times we asked for things at the front desk (new sheets and new towels) we didn't feel welcomed, or felt we were intruding. In conclusion, this is a one night stay type of hotel. We have been exhausted our entire trip because our stay has not been relaxing or comfortable.

I have stayed her numerous times due to bad roads in the winter,as I work in town and live an hour away. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and there are many places close by for food. The continental breakfast was excellent and the people at the front desk are very friendly. Great hot tub, and washer and dryer on site.

We have been here, since Friday. Traveling for the week, for work. This hotel is actually very nice. Very clean, the staff is super helpful also. The beds, could be better. Very springy and not firm, whatsoever. You sink down a good bit, not good for someone w a bad back. The breakfast, has been terrible. The waffle batter has been sour, and the orange juice has had a "spicy" taste to it. Overall pleased with the amount of selection they have for breakfast. Overall, this is not a bad hotel by any means. Inside pool and a Sauna really add to the place.
