The breakfast are amazing...specifically the omelettes and breakfast burrito. Service is quick without rushing.

Stopped here for breakfast on a weekday. It was pretty busy but service moved along pretty well. I ordered the bread pudding French toast, GDC potatoes & a raspberry sorbet mimosa. I love that they don't use raisins in the BP French toast. The potato's were good but I kind of wish I got hash browns instead. Also the side portion of potatoes is pretty big & shareable. The mimosa was good. My mom got the berry mimosa which she enjoyed as well. Overall service was good, food was good & I would for sure come back.

I met my sister-in-law here for brunch on a Thursday at 10 am. I arrived slightly before she did, and I immediately noticed the loudness of all the surrounding conversations being had. It made me a little sad inside. There was a little wait for a table, but I was seated within 5 minutes. Coffee came immediately, which was wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly, but I was somewhat disappointed in my meal. I ordered biscuits and gravy. I love biscuits and gravy. The menu description said, "sausage gravy", so I'm thinking standard sausage gravy. It wasn't. Which is fine, I don't mind if you want to do your own version of a meal, just tell me first, so I know what to expect. It was okay, but it wasn't what I was looking forward to. My sil enjoyed her food. I might come here again, but the loudness is a bit of a turn off for me. I know some people thrive in that kind of setting, but that's not me.

This restaurant is truly one of those legacy spots that has stood the test of time for over 25 years. It's not just the food that draws you in, though the dishes are consistently excellent--it's the whole experience. The ambience exudes a warm, nostalgic charm, making it a go-to for families. It's heartwarming to see seniors bringing in their kids and grandkids, sharing the tradition and memories that come with dining here. The vibe is incredibly family-friendly, filled with laughter and conversation, which adds to the overall appeal. However, be prepared for some parking challenges, especially during peak hours--it's a testament to the restaurant's enduring popularity. I used to live right next door and found myself dining here at least twice a week, a habit I dearly miss.

I never knew this place existed because it's kind of tucked away and yet was PACKED. Two of us went around noon on Friday and got a seat as soon as we walked in, but if you have a larger group you would likely wait a bit. I got the BBQ pulled pork and I think I inhaled that thing in less than 5 minutes. It was perfectly cooked, melted in your mouth. Our waitress was attentive and kind. Everything was quick even with how busy it was. It was pretty loud and was difficult to hear the person across the table from me, but otherwise very nice. I'd definitely recommend and will be going back.

I brought some other friends to this fun brunch spot. No matter the day they are busy cause the food is just that good so if you have a large party definitely make a reservation if possible on Saturdays and Sundays. We had a party of three and waited like 25 minutes which isn't bad at all. I tried a different eggs Benedict this time called the Alaskan. It swapped the ham for salmon and was really good and fresh. I love their breakfast potatoes and the fact that they add onions. A chai tea latte is a must for me when I stop by. Definitely my favorite brunch spot in the twin cities area!

We had a really nice breakfast. Restaurant was very busy which made for a nice ambiance. We had the biscuits and gravy, which was very good. Biscuits were fluffy and gravy had good flavor and slightly spicy, would of liked more gravy though.. Classic eggs benedict was good as well. Eggs cooked perfect and hollandaise sauce was good though a bigger/thicker piece of Canadian bacon would have been nice. It was so small and thin you could barely taste it. We also had the mushroom and Swiss omelete. Omelette was good as was the sauce (we got a little extra sauce on the side), wish it would have came with a side of toast but still yummy. All entrees came with potatoes with sautéed onions which were very good, though we each received very different amounts of potatoes on our plates. Service was very good. Plenty of parking. We will certainly be back.

AMAZING BRUNCH! Food was sooo yummy (definitely recommend anything with the potatoes). Place was packed and we still got our food quick. Gives a mom and pop diner vibe. Already looking to go back to try the French toast!

Very good food and menu, excellent location, I just advise that you make reservations otherwise you'll have a long wait especially on Sundays.

I went to Good Day Cafe on a Sunday around noon with a group of 14. This could have been a disaster, but because of the staff, it was a delightful experience. We were able to use a very large table that GDC holds for large groups, so we didn't have to wait ages for enough tables near each other to be free. But what made the experience so delightful was our server, Meghan. She handled our group of 14 in a way I could only dream of. Food came out quickly and well timed so that everyone could eat at the same time (except for one person, whose meal was taken by another person at the table and needed to be replaced). She also managed about 10 different tickets and paying was a breeze. Meghan who was working on the morning of Sunday, February 16 deserves all the praise and a raise.
