GoldRoom Restaurant & Lounge

After moving to Minneapolis two years ago, I was on the hunt for a spot to relax and unwind after a tough workweek. One night, after catching a Minnesota Timberwolves game, I stumbled upon GoldRoom, a lounge and bar that quickly became a favorite.The atmosphere is fantastic, with a 90s hip-hop vibe that sets the perfect mood. They have great drinks, big-screen TVs for enjoying local sports, and some seriously good music. On my first visit, I made the rookie mistake of asking if they had food--only to discover their lemon pepper wings, which were absolutely incredible. Now, I can't leave GoldRoom without ordering them. They're always fresh, and the customer service is top-notch.If you're looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy some sports, a nice drink, and delicious food, I highly recommend visiting GoldRoom. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax.

It all depends on when you go....the food is hit or miss, as well as the vibe. I love the decor - it appears to have a somewhat classy presentation and ambiance. However, after a certain time it changes from classy to ratchet. If you want to avoid eating your food underneath a fan of human twerk air, come earlier than later

I sat on this review for a while.... We stopped in for brunch for my sisters birthday. It's not really my vibe to begin with, but I will say we had fun.Security was wack. As ridiculous as the word is, that's the equivalent of security. They were not cordial, had no service and couldn't simply hold the door open for two 40+ women on a Sunday after 2pm. I found that distasteful.There doesn't appear to be any communication between door hostess and those seating. We were getting 2 different stories. We didn't know that you couldn't make reservations day of, so you couldn't be seated indoors and/or order food (only drinks) until a certain time frame, which sounded like the hour of seating so all orders can go in together at the same time across the restaurant. They were extremely packed. We were then seated outdoors. Outdoors = picnic tables on the sidewalk on dirty 6th street. I was NOT feeling that. The lady who sat us was kind enough to find us a table indoors. She informed us it wasn't the best table, but I did not care, it was NOT ON 6TH STREET. Ambiance is definitely on the ratchet meets a lituation type vibe. The music was good. I'm old and knew no songs LOL, but it was definitely a vibe. The decor was really nice. There were photo opportunities and a picture wall. There's a full bar and a dj that spinning the whole time you're there. They're taking song requests, we had a birthday complimentary bottle of champagne. I think you need to ask for it in order to get it. Everyone there is like 21-35, if that. We were overdressed because it was club attire. I wasn't feeling the bathrooms. As much money as they bring in, on a Sunday ALONE, they could fix the toilet paper roll.The food was okay. I don't know if ppl actually come here for food, maybe more for drinks, music and the vibe? The service from all the waitress was friendly and professional. The hostess wasn't rude, but she wasn't pleasant either.Not really my vibe, but if I ever want a ratchet Sunday brunch, I know where to go.

Loved this place. Such a warm and welcoming environment! The atmosphere, food and the cocktails were great. Great place to hangout, chill or go out on a date.

I was out in Minneapolis visiting and came across this restaurant online while looking for a Brunch spot to go to on a Sunday. The reviews were great about the food so that sold me even though some people were not happy about the service. Well let me just say I'm glad I didn't let that steer me away. My husband and I enjoyed every moment it was such a vibe and our service was great. We ordered the Düsse Lemonade pitcher along with the selection of 2 meats and 4 sides for each of us. Lol, remember we're not from here so yes I wanted to taste everything and boy we looked like two greedy individuals but the food did not disappoint. I had the catfish, grits and French Toast to eat there and took the chicken wings, collard greens and Mac n cheese to go. I highly recommend this place to try for Sunday Brunch and the prices were cheap.

First time here!! Visited this place with a group of ladies and although they were able to accommodate our large party there were several blips. We had 18 ladies to seat, but when we arrived the tables were not ready and we had to scramble a bit to get the proper seating. The ladies were nice, but there was a bit of confusion and delays in service.The ambiance was cool.Service was cool, not great.Food was tasty, everyone seemed to be pleased and left in food comas! I had the shrimp and grits which were tasty, but a little too gritty for my liking. Most people enjoyed the bottomless Mimosas, but again the service was a little slow.

Wow and wow!! Coming all the way from chicago for this disaster was definitely regrettable. Save your time and especially your money! They tried to charge $20 per woman(cash only) for brunch after they mysteriously lost our reservations.

Definitely a lituation of a spot for Sunday Brunch. Visitor be warned, this is a hiphop joint and there are metal detectors and security. The place had great music and more than enough servers to tend to the crowd. The food was really good and a ridiculous amount of TVs (perfect for sporting events)... I really wish the bathrooms were cleaner but the restrooms were huge with no wait. I highly recommend the Dusse Pitcher. I will definitely return to this spot for Brunch. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND make reservations ahead of time.

Looks fun outside at night. Horrible inside. Service was horrible. ENTRANCE PAY WAS 40$ per person for a boring place to be at!!! Definitely not a vibe if you want to bring group of friends to turn up. Prices there is ridiculous for drinks.

When going to the Gold Room here are 3 things to expect:1. Poor customer service. Nabil, one of the club owners, shows no respect towards his staff and the way he treats his staff is the way his staff treats customers.2. Inconsistent drink prices . Some of the bartenders choose their own price on however much a drink cost and it's never consistent from person to person or day to day.3. Eerie atmosphere. Ever since their best security guard left (Phe) , I have not felt safe going back. With the right amount of money, you can get anything past the security guards.So if you're looking for a FUN, SAFE, and RESPECTABLE night club to go to, my advice is to seek elsewhere.
