Stopped by Golden Lion Supermarket with my friend who group up in the area to pick up some supplies for us to make homemade pho. Golden Lion is a very classic Asian supermarket with a nice selection of herbs, vegetables, fruits, seafood/fish, dry goods, seasonings, and sauces that you really can't find too many other places. They are lacking a bit in terms of their meats section so you'd probably have to stop by a traditional American grocery store afterward. The supermarket is pretty small compared to other ones like United Noodles in the city, which means the selection is not as wide.The prices were pretty reasonable, and I even snagged some frozen squid which I always struggle to find around town and the price was good.They also have a prepared food section where you can purchase some Vietnamese classics. I decided to go for something new that I've never had and so I grabbed a Banana Cake. It came wrapped in a large leaf and I opened it up when I got home, heated it up, and ate it. It was pretty good, not very sweet compared to American desserts, but I enjoyed the experience.

The supermarket has some variety of vegetables and the veggie varies. depends on season. The deli food stall is nice, they have some good food, and often ran out. I love the desserts section. I frequently go there to buy their laab sauce or bitter sauce for use in making bitter intestine soup or for make laab. I haven't used your customer service, but the lady in the counter is available to help if you have questions and cashier line it's not that busy. The store is clean and it is well organize.

Best Vietnamese/Thai/Loas supermarket in the area. Way better than Sun Foods in my opinion. Everything looks fresh and clean.

I'd like to thank Golden Lion in supporting my adventures in cooking a multitude of asian dishes. Pho, khao poon, bun bo hue, chicken curry... all of their ingredients can pretty much be found in this supermarket.It's pretty small, so it may not have all of the exotic fruits and ingredients as say Dragon Star or Sun Foods, but it does make it so much more easier to find what you need. I like that I can be in and out within 5 minutes. Prices are reasonable, but their blocks of tofu prices at 99 cents are cheaper than I can find at any American grocery stores. FYI, you will need to spend over $5 in order to use a credit card for payment.

Not only is this a grocery store, but it also has a pretty impressive array of pre-made food in the deli area. That is, if you get there in time. Their deli food can include pad Thai, papaya salad, laarb, viet subs, steam buns, and spring rolls....I love their spring rolls! You can actually place a bulk order for a tray of spring rolls or pad Thai noodles. I've called in to request a tray of noodles to be ready in 2 hours and they were able to do that, which is impressive. I only wish the store was a bit bigger and it would be nice if they offered more produce variety. Parking can be difficult on weekends.

Supreme Asian Market in Brooklyn Park! I only wish it were closer to our house! Lots of choices and fresh veggies and meats. I really enjoyed the rice cake from their deli!

If you can find a better Asian Market to shop at, I would. The cashiers who work here look like they are all pissed off at the world. Not friendly and make it seem like you are an inconvenience. They throw your food into the shopping cart after bagging it. If they are going to pack it that way then let me do it. Not recommended. If I can give this place negative 5 stars I would.

From their deli. Very hard. Did not taste fresh. Pretty sure it's old. Their quality starting to really go down over the years.
