Great little hidden gem. Nothing fancy, just a pleasant local Italian restaurant. We were seated at an unusual booth, it was one sided and we were looking at the wall. At first I didn't like it but it kind of grew on me as the evening progressed. My wife had the Laren Alla Rosa. Penne pasta with grilled chicken, garlic, fresh tomato with spinach in a marinara sauce. She loved it. I had the seafood linguine which was very good. Nice bread basket. Didn't ask for a wine list, just ordered off the food menu. Don't know if they have a premium wine list available. Great server. Nice ambiance. Not over priced. Casual dress. We took an order of bread pudding home and ate it later. Yummy!! We need to frequent this establishment more often. Suggest you give it a try.

We like Giuseppe Italian restaurant. We can also tell that the owner of the restaurant take cares of their employees by allowing them take time off during the holiday seasons. The restaurant serve freshly baked bread that are made during and they are so good. The pasta is also great as well.

I've lived in new Brighton for over 25 years and cant believe tonight was the first time I've dined here. I can't wait to go back again. The pictures do not do this place justice. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because we ordered at least five dishes and I wasn't wow'd by everything but the items that I did like were some of the best that I've had.We ordered the garlic bread, calamari, minestrone, chicken, Parmesan, Lexi pesto, poor boy sandwich, spaghetti with marinara, lauren penne, and a house salad. The bread basket was OK but I love that they had olive oil with Parm on the table for you to make the butter. I just felt like the bread was kind of still and not very flavorful. The garlic bread had good flavor, my fiancé really liked it with a marinara. It is the same bread they use for their poor boy. The poor boy tasted more like a grab and go Italian sub. The bread was cold and not crusty but the meats in the dressing had a great flavor. We absolutely loved the Lexi pesto. It was so amazing and the chicken portion was generous. I would totally recommend that to anyone who dined here over the lauren which was recommended by the staff. The lauren pasta was great but after eating the Lexi, it just did not compare, and it was a little heavy on the basil or oregano? More herby. it tasted like a homemade penne Rosa from noodles and Company so not bad at all.The calamari with some of the best I've ever tried. It was light and crispy and not over cooked. I would recommend this. The minestrone was surprisingly great to it tasted homemade and had great flavor. We both really enjoyed it. The house salad is a mix of field, greens and Romain with some tomatoes nothing special, but a nice fresh option. My fiancé ate the chicken Parmesan, and said it was some of the best he's ever had. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside not too thick. the marinara was a great sauce to pair with a perfectly cooked spaghetti noodles. My fiancé also really enjoyed the draft root beer option. The service was amazing, just like every restaurant nowadays they were very understaffed so we ended up being there for a little over two hours.

Don't trust them to serve you a gluten-free meal. They don't take it seriously.I ordered 3 take-out meals for out-of-town guests we were doing business with. When I ordered the gluten-free minestrone soup, my guest asked me to verify that it was actually gluten-free, which I did. When I picked up my order, I took it out to the car and realized there was no soup. I went back in and let them know I was missing my GLUTEN-FREE soup, and they went back and put together a bag with the soup. I returned to my business for our meal together and my guest opened the bag with her soup and found pasta in it and saltine crackers on the side (the menu says the gluten-free option doesn't have pasta). We were too far away and on a tight time limit to go back that night. When I called Giuseppe's the next day to let them know. The response was "oh." When I talked to a manager, she said the order taker is 16 so she probably didn't understand and that I should have come back that night. The manager did not take this seriously.

I have been going to Giuseppe's for 30 years. In the past they have sometimes been a little spotty in their food, but I have always enjoyed the neighborhood atmosphere. Last night we tried to have dinner at 7:15. We could see that there were not a lot of free tables and we were a party of seven. I suggested that we be seated at two tables (which could easily have been done) rather than together. But the hostess rudely informed us that it would take an hour to seat us, that the restaurant closed at 8 (on a Friday night), and that we shouldn't wait. There are other better and friendlier Italian restaurants within a reasonable drive. We won't be back.
