Geno's Pizza

Although I have visited before, this is my first review. With that said, this time we placed an order (pizza) to go. The gentleman who took our order was very kind and friendly. However, the wait was painful (almost 45 min). The pizzas were presented to us and they asked about plates and other condiments for the pizza. We were all very hungry and got back to the group, but the pizzas did not taste good. They weren't bad, but not great. Just "meh", disappointing for the cost and the wait time. While we waited we observed that the ventilation wasn't the best and the pizza makers didn't appear to be enjoying themselves. Anyway, took off one star due to long order to presentation time, one more star due to the pizza only being so-so (at best) and one star removed for the overall experience. I can't talk to the other food or beverages, but I did leave two stars as the gentlemen that took our order was really good and the ambiance was ok. BottomLine: With all of the pizza places in Eau Claire, I would recommend another place.

Ordered a side salad, Geno's Special (pizza), and Trippers Triple Play (pizza) for takeout. The salad is big and definitely could be shared with others. The pizzas were very topping heavy with a softer and thinner crust. Not my all time favorite pizza, but it was pretty good. Both of the pizzas had their signature sausage on them, which made the pizza stand out more to me and made the restaurant more unique! They were filling and we have leftovers to enjoy. I'd get it again, just not my personal favorite style of pizza.

Amazing pepperoni pizza, not really sure how but the 2 of us ate the entire large pizza in one sitting. So good. Friendly staff. Shiner Bock on tap helps! I'll def be back for another pizza pie.

Superb pizza made by folks who are clearly serious about making great pizza. The restaurant is no frills as is the service, and the location is hard to get to and shares a bathroom with the Mexican place next door, but that makes it all the more appealing, IMO. It's a destination (destinations require a little extra work but are worth it) for excellent pizza in a town with plenty of bad and ok pizza. If you're serious about pizza, too, you belong here.

The pizza wasn't that good, missing something in the order and I was charged $74.00 for 2 large pizzas and one small. A big disappointment!

We are staying at the Metropolis across the parking lot and walked over to Geno's based on the positive Yelp reviews. Enjoyed our meal. Bella and the staff were friendly and welcoming. You order at the bar and your food is brought out to you. Pizza was excellent, loaded with cheese and toppings. We got a large half-cheese, half-sausage & mushroom which was enough for 3 people. This is more of a casual restaurant. Pizza is served on plastic cafeteria trays and you have to go get your own plates and utensils. Soda is self-service. Rolls of paper towels on the tables rather than actual napkins. So maybe not exactly "date night" restaurant, but we had a good time.

The deep dish pizza was great. The service was friendly and fast. I would go eat there again when I'm in town.

Great pizza every time I have been there! Wings also were top notch. Highly recommend.

Amazing pizza! Some of the best in the area! Love how the toppings go to the edge of the pizza so it is more filling without leftover crust.
