General Store of Minnetonka

For months, my bestie would randomly ask me if I wanted to go to the General Store and I said no. I finally asked her why she was asking me to go. She said it was bigger than Patina and had local items and was a great place for Christmas shopping. I'm glad she kept asking because I was thinking she was asking me to go to the Dollar General store! HOLY SCHNIKES! Get your booty here. It's huge - two floors. They have unique gifts, household items, women's clothing, and much more. I definitely did some damage. The cashier, Susan, was so friendly and really wrapped up a pleasant experience. Managers, give her a bonus. You need people like her representing your store.

This is a super fun store! If you're looking for a gift, you can find one here. Maybe a gift for yourself. The café has soups, salads and sandwiches. Something for everybody. Many baked goods to pick from and ice cream at the end of the counter. I'll be back for that... curious about their licorice ice cream.The popovers look huge but hollow inside. It's served with a sweetened butter. A must try.

We came here after visiting with a friend. They have coffee, soups, sandwich's, and salads kind of cafeteria style. I ordered the turkey on cranberry bread. I also ordered one of their pop overs. My husband got the egg salad on croissant and chips. Both sandwiches were good. It was a nice place to visit with friends.

Haven't been to the store in years. It was a nice trip down memory lane. While I did do some shopping, I didn't end up purchasing anything, but when I went to the café, oh, I found lots of things I wanted to purchase.I ended up eating a pumpkin bar and coffee at the café and purchase some goodies to bring home. I highly recommend the pumpkin bar and the service was amazing. The seating is very comfortable and lots available inside and outside. I took home a peanut butter cookie, a molasses cookie And egg salad on a croissant and my family enjoyed all of them. I found the prices to be pretty reasonable, especially with the cookies with how huge they are. I also found the servings of the bars to be quite large. It's a fun little shop to walk around and they have some really unique food gifts, as well as Minnesota sweatshirts.

We were in the area today visiting a friend. We decided to go here for lunch today. I had never been here before. I ordered the egg salad on a croissant with chips, My wife got the turkey sandwich on cranberry bread. Both sandwiches were good. It was a nice little place to have lunch. We had a nice time visiting with our friend.

I've heard about this store years ago and kept putting off visiting. FINALLY- decided to just go! Store was PACKED which I'm not surprised as my bestie and I decided to visit on a Saturday in December. We didn't care as we love to shop and look at it all. Walked in and were greeted with a warm welcome and handed a basket (loved this smart method). Let me tell you, the basket is needed. So much to look at. It's like boutique extravaganza in here! RUN, don't walk, and visit this store like today! I cannot wait to come back. They have so much stuff- games, cooking/baking items, MN gear, candles, jewelry, blankets, cookbooks, and much MORE. I feel like a kid in a candy store here. I wanted it all, but my wallet said calm down girl! There are two levels. I loved seeing the retro games from my childhood which brought so many memories from that time. Just a FANTASTIC store! The gal who helped me at the register was very kind. She told me about the rewards program and asked me if I wanted to join- no hesitation from me- absolute YES! She also handled the busyness very well. She maintained awesome customer service and made for a pleasant first experience here. Prices I feel were very reasonable and honestly, cheaper than some boutiques I've been to... love it! I'm at least a 30 minute drive from here and it doesn't even bother me. I'll be back very soon. Thank you General Store of Minnetonka for a wonderful first experience.

Such a fun place to come shop around. They have tons of stuff from cute clothes section upstairs to Christmas and fall decor. They also have a great selection of fun kitchen gadgets and food mixes (soups, breads and so on). Honestly it's a great place to look for fun gifts for your loved ones. Nice sized parking lot and the staff is friendly. My mom and I stopped in for lunch after shopping around at the cafe. They have a wide selections of soups, sandwiches and salads. They also have a full coffee bar and homemade treats as well. Highly recommend checking it out.

Had a great lunch date here with girlfriends today! We were able to do some Christmas shopping while we waited for our table to open up. It was only a 10-minute wait and the cafe was great! The Greek salad was incredible - super fresh veggies and delicious dressing! The popovers were good, so beautiful as well! My friends enjoyed their soup and sandwiches, too. Can't wait to go back again. The cafe was very casual, you get a lunch room style tray and walk down the line and tell them what you would like. You pay at the register and there is no table service except for them clearing your place when you are finished. The shop is so nice as well. So many novelty gifts that are great for anyone on your list!

Always have to stop by the General Store when I'm in town! Such a great selection of goods. The clothing is super cute and well priced. I love exploring the Minnesota section as well. Always my first stop when looking to get a gift for someone! I've only been to the cafe once but from what I remember it did not disappoint! Staff is also always super helpful and often go above and beyond in kindness.

There's a small section on the 2nd floor, including clothing items. Cafe is on the ground floor, jewelry and Pandora section too. I never got into Pandora at all. There's a lot of stuff in here. It's all pretty random, though some items are grouped together too. General Store and oh so much more here. Separate doors for entry and exit.
