My husband and I got married here a couple weeks ago and could not be any happier with how amazing everything turned out. The wedding coordinator Karen was wonderful to work with. The staff was so kind and the venue beautiful. We were thrilled with it and highly recommend this venue. It is worth it.

The Gale Mansion is one of my most favorite places to photograph!! Beyond the obvious of how gorgeous the venue is, the staff is amazing and they do an incredible job up keeping a venue that has so much traffic on a regular basis.

What an amazing location! My parents just had their wedding anniversary party at the Gale and it was magnificent. The food is especially noteworthy. Everything I have had from their chef is phenomenal.

Our reception here was planned from out of town, and the team of Amy and Amy, our contact points for the whole process, were incredibly friendly, prompt, and to-the-point.The food and desserts were awesome, and the fact that all of the fare is in-house made for a much easier process overall. We even neglected to give any details/plans for the cake, aside from the flavor, but it turned out beautifully once we threw a flower or two on there. The mansion itself provided an amazing venue for the cocktail hour, and if our event had been smaller we would have loved to have dinner in the main area as well. Instead, we had the dinner and dance in the attached ballroom, which is newer, less ornate, but still worked well for the large group.Would highly recommend, especially in comparison with other venues the price range. The attention to detail here was amazing, and very few of the nicest concert halls or hotel ballrooms don't come so event-ready; little added decoration is needed, just a bit to make the place your own.

My husband and I planned our wedding from out of state--Amy at the Gale Mansion made that incredibly easy. We coordinated via email many of the details, and she was always quick to respond. She was incredibly flexible with our needs. We wanted a morning breakfast wedding, and though they had never done it before, the staff was absolutely on board with it! They served up an outstanding breakfast (eggs benedict, bacon, breakfast potatoes, pastries, fruit, french toast) that was restaurant worthy. We also had a small lunch (chicken, mashed potatoes, salad--also delicious), and believe it or not, serving two meals was incredibly reasonable for the pocketbook. We wanted guests to be met with a coffee/tea bar and pastries outside as they arrived. It was done, and looked classy. We also had fruit, pastries, coffee, and tea served to us in our bridal/groom suites. The complimentary valet is a wonderful touch. The venue was also very photo-worthy. So many interesting spots to take excellent pictures. The staff was absolutely ON IT when it came to set up and transitions. After the ceremony, they worked seamlessly (and without getting in the way of pictures) tearing down the chairs and setting up our yard games. They were so efficient clearing out tables for the dance, I didn't even notice that they did it. I only had to make one complaint--they brought tear down boxes out a half hour before the event was done. But after I said something, the boxes were cleaned up within the minute.Amy made our wedding absolutely stress free. I would return to the Gale Mansion for events in a heartbeat, and I would have our wedding there again without question. Many guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! I believe it, because it was definitely the most fun wedding I've ever been to.

I was married September 17, 2016 at the Gale Mansion; it was the best night of my life which is exactly how your wedding night should be. A few factors played into the night being flawless: the mansion was beautiful, the guests were fun, my husband was perfect but most importantly the Gale Mansion team, specifically Amy and Jessie, ensured everything went smoothly. There are so many small details you have to think about when you plan your wedding, worrying about the team behind your venue should not be one of them. Between checking in on us getting ready, bringing appetizers after the ceremony and ushering us to keep on schedule, the ladies make our night a success. They are experienced, honest and fun which I don't think you can ask for more in a venue or a team behind it.

Attended the wedding of Tom Clements and Jennifer Wellan held at the Gale Mansion and the setting was beautiful. The food served was delicious and the open bar was enjoyed by everyone! On both the inside and outside, the building was picturesque and ornate. Loved experiencing a wedding here!

4.5 Stars My rock n roll friends had their wedding and reception at The Gale Mansion a couple years ago. Everything went very smoothly and this was largely due to the venue's setup. As I am usually a makeup artist and/or bridesmaid at friends' weddings, I am very fond of venues that are able to do it all. We got ready upstairs, pictures were taken on the very beautiful grounds, the wedding ceremony was outside, and the reception was inside. Couldn't be better or easier, IMO. The many halls, rooms, and alcoves provide a variety of options for letting people mill around. Or keeping people separate, which was nice since the bridal party and groom's party got ready in the same building without running into each other. The room we got dressed in was huge and had couches and chairs, at least one table, tons of windows, and a private bathroom. There were also enough outlets, even though it's a historic building. You do have to take the stairs to the upper level -- I don't think there's an elevator, but there are only two floors. The mansion, built in 1912, is a historic building and extremely well preserved. Some modern updates (such as air conditioning) have been made, but for the most part, wandering around the property is like being in a time machine or museum. Everything is very well maintained as well, including the lawn and grounds. It was a very cool and unique experience to spend the day here. It was easy to imagine the place once being filled with cooks, maids, and butlers! There is staff on-hand for events, but I don't know how many were present for this particular wedding. The website states that they provide (customized and locally sourced) catering, but my friends may have had their food done by a different caterer. I didn't really interact with any staff, but I spent my whole day with the wedding party so I'd remember if anything went amiss. It appeared to go perfectly and no one expressed any displeasure with The Gale Mansion or its staff members. The website states they can accommodate 200 - 240 guests, which is approximately how many people were at the reception. There was ample room for guests, small tables, and even a dance floor in the main reception area, plus the building was open for everyone to explore. My only complaint would be that there wasn't a ton of seating, but I think my friends chose this option, as pictures on the website shows a setup for a sit down dinner. Though the mansion seems to be mostly utilized for weddings, it would also be a great place for formal dinners, corporate events, reunions, and other private parties. Overall, I really enjoyed myself at this wedding, both because the venue made the preparations easy and convenient, and because I felt lucky to enjoy such an elegant and historic building. I highly recommend The Gale Mansion as an event space!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Gale Mansion in October 2013 and are still amazed at how happy we are with our entire experience. From the moment we toured the Gale Mansion we knew it was a perfect fit; the gorgeous vintage (but never stuffy) interiors and detailing, cozy atmosphere, unique dinnerware, and the friendly and informative staff who were genuinely interested in tailoring our day to make it perfect. The price was right in our budget, and the planners there were so thoughtful about making sure we felt comfortable with the cost of our event. They did not snark when we decided to remove a few elements for cost saving efforts, and were happy to tailor some extra special details just for us. My now-husband and I wanted to craft an event that had a cozy, Minnesota-esque feel and the team at the Gale created a delicious menu (complete with pie pops in the shape of Minnesota, s'mores desserts, and locally brewed beers) that exceeded our expectations. Our food was delicious, the staff decorated the entire event to our specifications perfectly, and they packed everything up carefully so it was ready to go at the end of the night. Honestly, the level of service could have easily cost twice as much as it does at the Gale. Looking back, I am still amazed at how much was included in the cost of the venue rental and menu pricing. Just the fact that they packed up all the décor for us at the end of the night made it worth it! I can't imagine having to deal with that the day after getting married, as many places require you to take care of your own décor clean up.Overall we are extremely satisfied with our experience with the Gale Mansion. From the moment we started planning, Amy and her team were exceptionally informative, organized, friendly, and genuinely happy to be a part of our event and gave sincere and honest advice. The Gale Mansion is such a unique venue that it would surely make any wedding or reception stand out. And the price was just right; the bar bill received after the wedding didn't even scare us too much!
