Wow. We went there thinking it would be good based on previous reviews.Menu was printed on paper. Our waitress was so young and great but she didn't even know how to take a drink order - I had to go to the bar to order. The food was overpriced $24 for shrimp dinner - the rolls were hard, our young server forgot our salads (they took them off the bill), my baked potato was hard, they forgot the baked beans that was supposed to be included with the dinners. At 8pm they turned off the lights in the dining area where we were seated. Do not recommend going here for dinner. Ownership had to have changed since all the other reviews because this is not what we experienced.

This is great traditional supper club tucked in the Northwoods on the beautiful Chippewa river. There is so much history in this supper club. Kevin and Bobbie are happy to share with you. Well let's start with the bar. It is warm and cozy with an amazing fireplace. Kevin usually tends bar and makes the best Old Fashion I have ever had. The dining room is lovely with another great fireplace. The service is excellent and they treat you like family. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the steaks and seafood. They are the best in the area. Bobbie and her team in the kitchen do a great job to meet any special needs. Overall, if you want a great meal with great service in a traditional supper club you can't go wrong with Foster's Riverview Inn.

This is a trip back to the supper clubs of yesteryear here at Foster's.Across the road (Hwy 178) from the Chippewa River and just south of the city of Cornell, the building has the exterior look of a typical Wisconsin roadside tavern, with natural wood siding and casual signing posted. Nice touch to be handicapped accessible with the wheelchair ramp.Inside, it's old-school supper club, with a warm, inviting atmosphere featuring dark woods and family photos. We were seated in the outer room, kind of an atrium effect with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the nicely manicured grounds. Definitely a nice place for a wedding, reception and dinner. With a stone-in-concrete and epoxied floor, this is more informal and a brighter area. When we arrived at 4:30pm on Sunday (30 minutes after they open), we were the only customers present (and remained that way until at least 5:15).The owner greeted us and Bianca quickly showed us to our table, where she provided excellent attentive service throughout our meal.We ordered the all-you-can-eat rib special (a real deal at $15.99) and the pan-fried walleye pike for $19.99--another bargain for the size and price. Before the entrees arrived at about 5:05, we enjoyed the soup (vegetable dumpling) and a full salad bar, including a spinach/warm bacon oil dressing salad, and four different kinds of pasta-based salads. The stuffed hash browns were very tasty with all the onions and peppers, but the "cheese" was two slices of American. That really seemed out of place--especially in Wisconsin! The Duchess potatoes--another upgrade--were okay, if not plentiful enough for leftovers.I had mentioned our anniversary while making the reservation, so Bianca surprised us with a small frosted cake with a lit candle--a nice touch and nice finish. All-in-all, a pleasant experience at a supper club we'd been meaning to visit for many years. Now we know why they've been able to flourish while others in the Chippewa Valley have gone by the wayside. Go and enjoy!

Fun little supper club on the Chippewa River (all of the others around there burned down due to "accidental" kitchen fires over the years.) If you are coming through town on the weekend and want a nice sit-down restaurant, go here. It is a long-running supper club with an excellent buffet. I've only ever done the buffet because it is great, but I hear the steaks are good too.

Great atmosphere, very clean, friendly new owners! The menu looks good. We had an appetizer and a delicious cocktail when we stopped in.

Worst food ever, ordered two king cut prime rib medium rare with extra onions and mushrooms. The king cuts were tiny certainly not one pound and were served medium not medium rare. The extra mushrooms and onions were three each per person and I am not lying. I didn't even think they were on the plate! My sister ordered a ribeye steak what she received was not a ribeye! She received two pieces of meat one so thin it looked like a skirt steak. The other piece looked like a thin piece of rotted chicken and according to my sister tasted the same. A Ribeye steak never comes as two pieces and she had ordered hers medium rare. She ordered lyonnaise potatoes on the side and the potatoes were not cooked through they were still raw. All four meals were not prepared properly or what we expected. They were also not even close to what they advertised on their menu! I am will to spend money on a good meal. This meal was truly horrible! We will not go back and we recommend you don't waste your hard earned money here either!
