Fireside Lounge and Supper Club

We enjoyed a lovely thanksgiving dinner here and appreciated the restaurant being open for the holiday. The menu included all the quintessential thanksgiving fare and it was cooked to perfection. The exceptional service highlighted our experience and we hope the restaurant staff could enjoy the holiday later in the day. I was also thankful for how warm and cozy the atmosphere was inside the dining area. The homemade desert selections provided a delicious ending to a perfect experience.

Service great and friendly. Food delicious standard American fare. Ambiance is wonderful small town Midwest. The desserts are amazing! Full stop! Their baker has serious skills.

I was back tonight for a burger. I have to say it was one of the best burgers I have had in years! The waitress Zoe was on top of everything and a great waitress!

The hubby and I went last night for fish fry. We arrived around 6pm. There was about a 10 minute wait for a table. A waitress Julia was walking by and stopped to see if we wanted a drink while we were standing.(nice touch) as the bar was also full and hard to get up there to order.We accepted a seat in the back room and then once seated there changed our mind, because of the atmoshpere, it was loud and small.Two seats opened up at the bar and we sat there and asked if we could eat at the bar. Todd the bartender was extremely busy, he needed help for this kind of friday night fish fry crowd. He happened to mention that the dishwasher just broke that night, however we think they needed another staff member helping Todd at the bar.We both ordered the fish fry platter instead of the all you can eat. I ordered with baked potato and hubby ordered with fries. There was a nice assortment of vegetables that colored the plate and weren't overcooked like most places. Hubby's fries weren't very plentiful and were pretty much hidden under 3 nice pieces of fish.Baked potato seemed fresh, my complaint would be the little enclosed butter packets( about 1tsp) and there was no sour cream, although I never asked because Todd because he was way too busy. If we wouldn't of asked one of the staff his name it would of been hard to get his attention.Now on to the fish, we received 3-4 nice size pieces, however the filet was more flat than chunky, and there was alot of breading around each piece, I don't mind eating breading when the fish to breading portion matches, I felt like it was opposite and I ate more breading than fish. Our plates didn't look very pretty when the leftover breading was all over our plates.The salad that came with the meal, seemed like it came from a bag and not freshly chopped, it had that bag look to it. Hubby's first tap beer was flat and he didn't care for the atmosphere, so he won't want to go back. Todd did shake our hands as we left as he over heard us saying it was our first time there for fish. I would probably give it another chance if I was just meeting a girlfriend out there for appetizers or maybe a burger.

Great little Road House on a short few blocks.The Beer was Cold and the homemade Cheese Curds were perfectly batter and fried.The Homemade Dessert caught my eye I took a Coconut Cream home.. $4.49 a slice.. delicious!I'll be back for more!!!

Middle of nowhere...good find! Supper club food and vibe. Quiet relaxed atmosphere. Prompt and friendly service. Veggies with dinner were above average. Dessert (coconut cream pie) home made.

I think this place is Fabulous for a small town restaurant. You would never believe that in a town of 159 you could find a menu with 28 burgers on it. I have a plain ole american cheese burger with waffle fries. Both were delicious - and the fried green beans were awesome!!!We are thinking of moving to the area and I am so psyched that we will actually live near a great bar with a pretty big selection of beers, wines and drinks!

We have been coming here the past three years when we go to Nerstrand State Park and have yet to be disappointed. The owner/manger is very attentive without being overbearing, staff is good, and food keeps is come back. Each time Mister and I get something different without being disappointed. It is the perfect supper club/local watering hole in the rural setting.

Excellent food and service. Much different than the average bar food we expected. High end and delicious !

Got the fajitas for $14 they forgot the sour cream and salsa and the portion size was quite small. But I wasn't paying so oh well. It was ok at best. Won't be back though
