Evelyn's Wine Bar

The husband planned a date night here. I'll be honest when we arrived I was like, hmm not sure about this place. It is small and quaint, like having dinner at an older relative's house. We were immediately greeted and asked to pick a two top table of our choice. The attention from waitstaff was on point throughout our meal as should be expected with the size. The wine flights are adorable as they served them in miniature wine glasses. We ordered the house salad and two different flatbreads, the September special & the apple one. The salads were average, nothing wow or horrible. The flatbreads were very tasty, they are made on a cracker like base which paired well with the toppings. By far a top flatbread contender for us. Before leaving we tried the speakeasy in the basement, talk about charm and fantastic drinks. Our bartender was engaging and made the best cocktails, do yourself a favor and make sure you visit the speakeasy!!

We stopped in on a Friday night and although it was busy, we were able to get a table after about 5 minutes. It's small, intimate and cozy and they have excellent flatbreads! We'll definitely be back!

Quaint little wine bar that just opened in downtown Buffalo. Near all of the occasional shops. They offer great selections of reds and whites, about 6-10 of each. They also have bottled beer selections. Nice small plate offering with some cheeses, hummus, sandwiches and flatbreads. Outdoor seating in back as well as a private basement for parties. They also now have the best gluten menu in the area. GF flatbreads, sandwiches, pita chips and hummus.

Evelyn's saved the day! I was denied access with my service dog at a different place, an inn restaurant by the lake because of her breed and because she wasn't wearing a vest or have paperwork (not required). She's a staffy bull terrier - a tiny thing compared to labs/Golden's. I don't like her wearing a vest because the way I walk already makes me self conscious and I don't want to call more attention to my disability. I'd prefer she wear sparkly collars and cute tee's so people focus on that. I always try to request outdoor patio seating, even though I'm allowed indoor seating, because dogs on patios are more common/socially acceptable. I get it, some people don't like dogs in restaurants, so I try & be respectful and not act entitled or demanding. Needless to say, I was feeling pretty crappy about what happened earlier. But my friend called ahead and we were told we were welcome. I'm so glad we didn't give up & tried to find a new restaurant! The food was so good as were our drinks - I had rose and my friend had their homemade wine spritzer which I tasted and it was so yummy. The olive tapenade was the best I've ever had. I had an asparagus grilled cheese. I never thought I'd ever have that, but the cheese/veggie combo was delish. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive! The back patio is sooo cute and enjoyable! I did not know there was a direct entrance from the parking lot to the patio behind the building. We arrived street-side through the front door and it was a narrow steep stairwell downstairs to the patio. I kind of panicked because I get vertigo from a spinal injury & my wrists & knees are very weak still. But, we made it! Just remember there is an alternate entrance if perhaps you have elderly guests in your party. In conclusion, we had a wonderful night and I was so happy to get out of the house and catch up with my friends. We will be back for sure, and my friends and I will be telling everyone about this gem of a wine bar/bistro!!

I love this place. It's very quaint and cordial. Just a hometown wine bar with really exquisite wine. They also have a very light meal menu. You must give them a try

Excellent selection and service! Love the flatbread pizzas. Locally owned and operated and despite absurd government tyranny, Evelyns remains open for take out. Hang in there!

A lovely place to have a delicious lunch while you take a break from the eclectic shopping opportunities in Buffalo. The staff is friendly and attentive. We split a delicious Mediterranean salad, flat bread pizza, and enjoyed a couple glasses of the house red. All were full of flavor and our food was packed with ingredients. The colorful flower vases, triptych mural, and vintage mosaic floor add to the ambiance. Thinking we might have to end our shopping day with a stop by Muffy's Speakeasy!

A great GF flatbread, great service upstairs in the restaurant and downstairs in the speakeasy and a cute place!

We had the best dinner ever; service was amazing and dessert was incredible. Most definitely be back and recommend to all.

What can I say about this place!! Cute. Adorable. Nice interesting wine list. Killer Flatbreads. Loved it!!
