"Emma B." as it is affectionately known by Y members is now open without masks IF you are fully vaccinated. Classes are still by reservation on the YMCA app, but there seems to be more classes available now. This Y offers a climbing wall (don't think that this is open yet), indoor pool and splash area outside, full gyms, as well as community rooms. This is an older Y, but the staff here make it feel like home. The best lifeguard is Ric (kudos for keeping us all safe in the pool area and being a great dude). Kim G-B is an awesome Foreverwell Coordinator, offering fun and educational and healthy choices to the older folks (yep-that's me).

I love my Emma B YMCA! Every morning I check the class schedule and plan my day around my exercises classes. I am there every day. I take 21-28 classes a week. They have classes for kids to the elderly. Each exercise can be adjusted to your own specific needs or abilities. They also have extensive exercise equipment to choose from. I have tried several of them. The instructors are in a class by themselves. A huge shout out to Cindy, Angie O, Angie D, Donna, Amanda J, Amanda W, Karri, Teresa H, Nara, Melanie, Maria B, Lydia, Kim and Tiffany. They also offer other activities such as painting or knitting classes, and book club. They have a pool with or without aqua classes, a sauna and a hot tub. You can attend field trips and or donate your time to feed my starving children. It's a great organization.

I've been going to this Y since I moved from Andover last June. While I have yet to utilize all the amenities of this location I feel like it's a decent place to go workout. I mainly use the weight room as I'm a bodybuilder. The staff are very friendly as a whole and are nice to talk to. The people who frequent the gym are also nice and the majority of the kids are well behaved. I gets tons of compliments from people about my physique while working out, but not in a creepy way! It's very flattering. There are a lot of older/seniors at this Y in the early mornings. I suggest avoiding going to this Y from the hours of 4 pm to 8 pm as it's crazy busy and you'll wait forever for a machine. Overall I'm happy with my membership here.

We have been taking our little one to swim lessons here. We like the instructors. Inconsistent enforcement of the rules is a problem throughout the facility and is the primary reason we will be going somewhere else in the future.

Visiting from out of town, took advantage of this Y which was right down the street from my hotel. Friendly employees, clean facility, great Body Pump class & instructors. I also enjoyed the indoor running track since it was pretty cold for an outdoor run. Overall great experience!

They don't care about the open swim times they change schedules to accommodate a certain group of people so if you don't want to join a class they push you around by taking your time and give it to just about anyone. I PAY DUES to. But they accommodate only the classes. They are very rude and nasty. Sister Kenny physical therapists wont stand up for their time either , so if you do therapy thru Sister Kinney keep in mind you are limited . You better hope you can get a work out when there is no room in the pool. They also accommodate the people who are not from this country like they are special and sanitary rules do not get enforced. Very nasty!
