Our Pub Pass brought us to Elm Creek. We loved the outdoor seating options. I was on a golf theme and decided to try Legalize Mulligans. It was a nice, smooth, hoppy beer. Perfect for a summer evening. We had been at the Chalkfest and brought our huge bag of kettle corn to enjoy as a snack with our beer. Parking easy. Staff friendly. Great stop.

#9 on our Hundreds of Hops TourWalk in as a stranger & quickly find yourself surrounded by new friends. True of both staff & patrons... that's how I'd describe our 9th stop. After a brief run-through of our likes, suggestions were made & well-received. These guys had solid beer selections on top of being quite welcoming. We talked about where we've been, exchanged social info & closed her down. We weren't rushed out the door at closing, there was a game in the final minutes, after all. We thoroughly enjoyed the stop, wrapping up the night on a 5 star experience and 4.75 stars on the beers, rounded to the nearest number. We've already made meet-up plans for next time!

Awesome patio and super friendly bartenders! Stopped by for a drink after work on a Friday and really enjoyed the outdoor space and overall brewery vibe. Love the big open garage doors. Plenty of seating inside and out and great beer options. Looked like they had board games and bean bags also! Definitely returning to try more!

Nice, open brewery and taproom in the northern Mpls exburbs. It's a huge space with lots of tables, games to play, and a few TVs for sports. They've got a large patio that's dog friendly in nicer weather. The space gives off real "Applebees" family-friendly vibes. Not that it's a bad thing.No food but they have some snacks. The bartenders and employees were all great and it was great seeing more locals than bar-hopping youngins for a change. Gave a very laid-back atmosphere. They brought our pup a bowl of water, treat, and wiped down a table outside for us.The beer itself was really good! I expected it to be "ok" but their seasonal brews were all really well balanced and flavorful. I didn't try it but they've got a THC beverage that's for off-site only. I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area biking or visiting friends.

We visited on a gorgeous Sunday evening. There was hardly anyone inside and a few groups out on the patio.The taps fell into three categories: IPAs, Sours, and Hard SeltzersI tried the Rare Candy: Raspberry and Blueberry sour. It was tart, refreshing, and fruity! Definitely in my top 5 for sours! Plus, the color was pretty! The patio is really nice. It has long wooden benches and some standing tables. I noticed they also have some games available for customers. It was a neat spot to spend a slow relaxing Sunday.{21}

Drove up to Champlin to visit Champlin, Minnesota's first small craft brewery and taproom - Elm Creek Brewing. They had beers from the funky like their Rare Candy Series to the classic like the Hefeweizen. Surrounded by businesses, the building offers both inside and outside seating with plenty of space. Their flight board holds four beers so I made sure to fill it out!Lost Eternity:A hazy, but smooth Double IPA. It was hopped with Citra in whirlpool and then dry hopped with Lotus and Lemon Drop hops. Large tropical aromas with mild bitterness. I get orange, vanilla, and a little lemon rind on taste that reminds me of a more bitter orange creamsicle. Barefoot Traveler:A Czech Pilsner with both a hoppy bitterness and a light malt body. Very crisp lager that would be great out on the lake.Cloudy with a Chance of BananasI am loving the number of breweries putting out the Hefeweizens! This Hefeweizen has a lot of banana and clove without being cloying / sweet. Medium-full mouthfeel, not too hazy, and a white bread doughy flavor.Rare Candy: Blueberry and RaspberryI was struggling to choose between the four Rare Candy series they had on tap, so the beertender recommended I go with the Blue Razz version. I enjoyed the suggestion as it had a low acidity with a punch of flavor and sweetness from the blueberry and raspberry. Tasted like a tarter version of blue-raspberry ice cream!

Great place - 5 stars.After driving by hundreds of times, I was finally lured into Elm Creek Brewing Company by a food truck. (Actually, I ended up visiting 2 days in a row, a different food truck each day.) What a wonderful place! They have tons of interesting beer varieties, everything from hoppy IPAs to sour fruit flavored beer and everything in between. Wow - great flavors!As an added bonus, ECBC tries to schedule a different food truck every day. They aren't always able to pull this off (due to individual food truck schedules) but on most days, one is there in the evening. This will definitely get me to come back. They only offer snacks inside for food (Von Hanson's Pretzels) so inviting food trucks is a great idea. You can find a schedule of trucks on their website.The lounge areas are spacious, homey, and warm - very welcoming. They also have a patio on each side of the building. The one on the north side is a little more private. They have multiple garage doors too so they can open them up, weather permitting. Very cool.Did I mention the patio is dog friendly? I brought my big girl with me and we shared some pretzels while I drank my blueberry raspberry sour beer and chowed down on my food truck grub. The manager was nice and he brought out a big bowl of fresh water for my doggy. Awesome!Finally, the staff is friendly and super knowledgeable.A big thumbs up!-Maxx

We got here just before noon on a Sunday and there was a steady stream of people coming in. Smokestack Express food truck had a table set up. We ordered a rejuvenator and sustained illusion. We also got a brisket plate and the beer and food tastes really good together. There were quite a few people with babies or young children, couples and small groups. There a variety of seating. It was clean and a comfortable.

Wanted to try the breweries nearby and found MN's first small brewery and taproom.We also noticed a food truck on site for those who gets hungry. Although we came at 7 so the food truck was all sold out. I believe they have a food truck calendar on their website, so be sure to check that out!The selection was good with some fruited sours, IPA, ambers and etc. I had the Overanalytic, an amber ale and the Droptop Lemondrop, a hazy pale IPA. The overanalytic was smooth so I quickly developed a liking to amber ales now. I usually go for IPA and this droptop was perfect. Fruited sours were also pretty good, according to my brother who had it. He had the Chambered hearts.We also took a break to play a game of bag toss outdoor. Disappointed to say, I need more practice on tossing!Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor, traditional table and relaxing couch. I spotted a few board games and perhaps a Nintendo for video games - I could be wrong about which video game device it is. Memory was a little clouded.

What a nice use of a former Ruby Tuesday spot. They make really good beers and have quickly risen up the ranks in quality of hazy IPAs around the Twin Cities. They have a style for everyone at the taproom though, which is great. Cool space, especially in the warmer weather with the garage doors open
