El Triunfo

Literally some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I've ever had. The people there are very helpful when explaining the menu. Definitely call ahead for pick up orders.. and come ready to eat!!

Admire their consistency in work ethic. They're open all the time seven days a week with very friendly service. Miguel can be testy at times but I would be too if I had to work seven days a week. Their green hot sauce is to die for and is worth the $10-before two o' clock is best. Lots of competition now but will always be a loyal customer here because they're hard workers and always serving the community to get by.

El Triunfo was essential stop after returning to Northfield for a morning. I attended college in Northfield and would frequent El Triunfo often! The burritos are fresh and large!! The green salsa on the side is not for the faint at heart, but adds a wonderful spice to an already 5-star burrito. I always order extra green salsa to bring home because their recipe is so delicious! If you are a locale or just passing through, you will not regret going to El Triunfo- I need to still find a mexican restaurant in the Twin Cities that compares!

Best food in Northfield.A taste of real Mexico, nothing fancy as far as decor, but tasty and plentiful.

Great food, large portions. A must when you need flavour not provided in the St. Olaf or Carleton Caf.

Very delicious tacos and burritos. The go to Mexican restaurant in Northfield! Staff is friendly & lots of items available that can't be found in grocery stores, i.e Mexican tortillas, cookies, & ice cream.Good area & very clean.

Only time I've ever given my restaurant food to the dog was the food I got here. 2nd worst restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Dog actually wouldn't eat the meat he knew better apparently. Will never come back to this place

El Triunfo carried me through college! Delicious food, friendly staff, and consistent service. I also appreciated how I could get it to go or simply sit there. I love their chicken platillo and will make a trip to Northfield just for it next time I visit MN.

With all the wonderful Latino restaurants in Minnesota, I don't understand how this place is included on any list. I went there to look at their menu and order a takeout meal. The owner was rude, the place was dirty and when I saw someone come out of the kitchen holding the carcass of a rotisserie chicken in its container, I left.

This is an inexpensive restaurant. But if you like basic Latino cooking from really nice people, go here. I do...all the time.
