EDDY’s on Third

We were in Hayward for the Birkie and ended up eating there every day because we liked it so much. Great staff. Good food. And a nice ambiance. We tried many of the dishes over 3 days and liked them all (burger, gyro, Italian beef, chicken).

So nice having this restaurant in town. The inside is pleasantly decorated. They made good use of the small space. The servers were helpful and friendly. I'm a vegetarian and enjoyed the Portobella burger. Their homemade sauce is extremely tasty and I'm a lover of sauce. In my opinion, they actually put too much sauce on the burger. It was all I could taste. In the future I will order the sauce on the side and that issue will be solved, Overall, our family of three has enjoyed the meals and appetizers we have had there.

Eddy's on Third was such a great discovery during our recent trip to Hayward. This spot is downtown, a block or so off the main drag. And maybe it was because of this that we were able to get a table for our large group on the great outdoor deck during the holiday weekend. We ordered at the indoor counter, and we got our food quickly. I got the classic rueben, with thin-sliced corned beef on marble rye, with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and dressing. This was the sandwich I had been wanting. It was pure sandwich comfort. Plus it came with the fries, which were a star of the meal.My family also enjoyed the smash burger, and my kids got the chicken tenders. The prices were very reasonable. I'm looking forward to coming back here on future trips.

Bumped up from 3.5 stars. Quick service but very mediocre food. Look at the pics posted and that's what you get. A step up from fast food but I would not seek it out. To be fair, Hayward is not known for delicious restaurants but more for candy and ice cream stores, gift shops, and go karting. If you're looking for a decent restaurant, Eddy's still may be a good bet.

1 bourbon chicken BLT with fries. 1 cashew chicken with fries. 1 homemade fry sauce(the female one) LOL! There are 2 homemade fry sauces, one by a female name, one by a male name.... can't remember, but they are different....we got the female one.... really good!Ice tea & coke.We both really liked everything we had! This place is a GREAT addition to Hayward!We will be back.... give it a try, you'll like it!

Large helpings, the appetizer selection is wonderful, prices are good. A cut above your usual fast food restaurant. Pork Schnitzel, tenderloin salad, gyros, and much more. We will be back.

Delicious and fast. They are worth the stop. I have been there 3 times and will definitely stop back. If you are in Hayward, check it out!

Absolutely awesome. This place will be packed once word gets out. Home made salad dressing and so many more.

Great little burger/sandwich place! The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. Very quick and friendly service! Looking forward to trying the gyros!

Hidden gem off of the Main Street ( down by the fire station )... We enjoy gyros and this could be one of the best that we EVER had! We will be back.
